I´m on the fence about promotions like this.
Simply because it forces people to spend money to consume an product that some may regard as trash ( I personally find Pizzahut`s products pretty disgusting),and simultaneously locking ingame content and swag behind an external paywall of a third party.
And as a result of not everybody being able to afford the product the promotion is tied to, it expands the divide between the people that have money and those that don´t.
And to me that kind of instantly outweighs any “coolness factor” they may have…
I get that it´s only cosmetics and swag, but that doesn´t change the principle of forcing people to consume a product they may neither want nor enjoy to get those cosmetics and merch that are not available anywhere else.
But if others want it, hey, knock yourselves out, I´ll buy the keychain off you for a tenner to help pay for your bypass surgery 
PS: which also brings up the point of greedy people always gobbling up these things up just to post them on eBay at exhorbitant prices, because they picked up 10 keychains a day, leaving everyone else with no way to get them but their hyperinflated auctions. 
PPS: If ALL of the same items were offered on the blizzard store, it would be a completely different discussion and much less questionable, because there would be an alternate way to get them

My place dont have much pizza hut.
I wasn’t a big fan of the D4 promotions where you’d get in-game cosmetics for buying KFC food and SteelSeries products, or get a Diablo tattoo.
I had considered trying to keep up with cosmetics in D4 when it came out, but those promotions crushed any such idea right away. As a result I never bought any cosmetics from the store, either.
I thought the KFC promo was US only. Not sure about the tattoo one.
Trust me you dont need pizza hut in your life .our area pizza hut was closed 
because one customer found a dead rat tail while other time it was cockroach leg . I will not recommend pizza hut to even my worst enemy

Definitely I eat an unhealthy amount of Pizza Hut so this would be amazing 
The KFC Promo was a huge missed opportunity…
They should have called it the Leeroy Jenkins bucket, and put a picture of his raid and him him lying (dead) on the ground with a drumstick in his hand and little dragons flying around, and a comic blurb “At least I have chicken”…

I’m happy to see the Chinese players can play again … it was so bad when they lost everything. Hopefully they’ll get it back and the pizza stuff is a bonus (or an apology if they can’t)
No they have to pay for it.
It would be a bonus if they just got the pet for free - as a bonus - but they don’t.
And neither did we.
These kinds of promotions are not consumer friendly.

I know they’ve got to pay for the pizza. I meant a bonus in that they’re being given the opportunity at the moment while others aren’t.
I really wish this too. I love Pizza Hut, and the items are very good-looking.

It was, but Diablo doesn’t have region locks, so anyone in the world can play together. You were able to get the KFC cosmetics, but only indirectly (ebay, friends).
