Sure, soon as they can get any of their viewers to stop messing with the server and ruining RP.
Honestly I’m not too huffed over it, but the entertainment reasoning is a bit odd to me, just because something is entertaining for one group, it doesn’t mean other groups agree, especially if it’s at their behest. Justifying it on those grounds is akin to justifying the throwing of Christians to the lions because several thousand romans got jollies out of it, so it’s all good fun really.
I understand it’s not literally that serious, but the line of thinking “it’s just a joke man” where it comes at other people’s expense is to be becoming a very dated internet excuse to be trolly, knowing full well that people will see it that way, but acting like they have no right too because they should “loosen up”. I don’t buy it.
But hey these streamers will do what they do, I just think maintaining silence on it when I disagree that they cause no damage doing stuff like this, and that it’s for lols makes it okay, when I don’t genuinely hold that viewpoint.
Yea, pretty much this.
I agree to some extent.
I wouldn’t justify trolling with “it’s just for fun”.
But I just don’t think he does enough damage to need justifying. The RPers featured in the video are taking it light hearted and don’t seem to mind his presence. He doesn’t really barge into any serious PvE campaigns or events, he’s just running around at casual RP hubs.
And even those, I never really go to Orgrimmar or the Cathedral Square which seem to be his two main “interviewing” locations.
So if you want to avoid and not have anything ot do with him, that’s not a lot of effort to do so.
So in short, he’s not doing anything seriously bad, is he?
I don’t really see the problem, then.
As with all streamers, it’s very rarely them themselves who I eye with too much suspension. They’re usually just self aware enough of their “image” to stop short of being a complete nuisance.
It’s their idiotic followers, and by that I don’t mean all of their followers are idiotic. I mean the ones who literally copy whatever they do and take it up a notch to appear relevant in the streamers streams in the hopes of being noticed.
You see this a bit in the past streamer does thing, whilst not fully RP it’s not a massive issue. Followers turn up and suddenly you have more disruption as well as occasionally inappropriate stuff like homophobic or racist language being batted around.
It’s not the streamers direct fault, but to completely ignore their responsibility as someone who knows others will imitate them or gravitate towards them (no streamer can deny this, their living literally works off this notion after all) and thus they should think very carefully about how they conduct themselves is a cop out.
The issue is to me a lot of streamers don’t care why they attract a following or what it means. They’re simply interested in having one as large as possible and they’re not very fussy about how they do it. So if they have to do something that contradicts an old stance of theirs, or something that will light a fire, if it will get views they’ll do it.
I just watched his “Why Dwarf?”-video and I gotta say… He seems to have taken the critique brought to him from his last videos to heart.
He just roleplays. No “haha lolling” and no Goldshire visit. Very nice.
Mhmm, I thought it was a pretty funny coincidence that he uploaded right after as well. Really the only issue I had with it was that the bike mount was annoying, definitely taking the criticism well.
Welp, it’s a go to Alt-Right term of abuse for everyone else, not to mention the thinking behind the term, is playing on a distinctly unpleasant Alt-Right fantasy.
So yeah, use that term, expect to get a face full of Azerite in response…don’t complain you are getting back, what you dished.
Back on topic…some Kakio vids are better than others, but I remain subscribed.
Take stern action against people for temporarily making one Server virtually unplayable?
looks at Classic launch
looks at WoD launch
looks at Opening of the Gates of Ahn’QuirajWelp, that would be awkward.
UwU
think defending him in one thread is enough, thanks.
Think this is not your personal Forum, thanks.
You want to use it…no one is stopping you.
Summon the Kakiobane…
Think this is not your personal Forum, thanks.
Big yikes.
I have an Alt on AD… Worgenlefay isn’t in charge here and is quite happy to unload about Taliesin on multiple threads, so the hypocrisy stinks.
I have an Alt on AD
Maybe you should’ve posted on said alt then.
Happier now?

what came out of Taliesins mouth during that stream more than makes it okay to have a go at him. and claiming he is good for the server while drawing hordes of idiots to crash said server? seriously guy needs to look at himself in a mirror.
On topic the Kakio guy seems to be okay. as others have said he is actually listening to constructive criticism and changing his content to not be a nuisance. If he keeps on that track don’t see a problem with what he’s doing.
Frankly Taliesin appears to dish it back to people… who then go full snowflake.
shrugs
The amount of poop thrown at him or by him has nothing to do with his downright offensive take on RP. I will point you to the clips above where he mistakes an OOC gathering like that for RP and says having it on an RP realm is ok because is May Day.
