no that wasnt the problem.
those people had full information about what loot system was being used. your interface shows it.

offcourse they knew, but still even if they won the roll they didnt get the loot, not sure why you do not se a problem here.
heck before that even you could hit masterloot just before the boss died, and pretty much steal everything if you so felt like, and it happend, heck even masterlooters from respected guilds decided to do so at times.
plus when they introduced personal loot, way more guilds started to use that instead of masterloot.
yes they could have left master loot in for 100% guild runs if they so liked to do it, but they decided not to and honestly it realy doesnt matter so much.
then whereâs the problem?
you dont roll loot when you have masterloot, you distribute it properly. if you wanted to roll you could just not use masterloot and coinflip
pretty sure it gets locked when you start the fight.
based on what are you saying this?
yeah that could work too, but issue here wasnt someone crying about not getting all loot in raid, issue here was blizzard trying to shut down loot funneling, which they miserably fail since devs got 0 idea about how the game works.
to you maybe, and if thats the case idk why youâre even discussing it.
He ainât fired cause heâs one of the OG theory crafters that was shaping WoW before he even ended up joining the WoW team.
Iâm not sure whatâs going on with this game (MMORPG), it feels like it isnât being played internally by people who enjoy role play features mixed deeply into a massively multiplayer world.
Classic is going to deliver this to me. Blizz is about to get a solid 3 year month to month subscription from me because they are re-releasing a 15 year old game. What does that mean? Who knows, theyâve done something right I guess.
Human beings have not changed in the last 15 years. What made us crave society and the building of it did not change. We will be doing that in classic. We canât do that in retail.
The destruction of that thing is certainly not a single personâs fault, certainly not Ionâs, I once aimed my hatred of the failure of this game at individuals, but I realise itâs out of their control.
From now on-wards however, within the Blizzard company, we have an outlet. Support all that is important within classic. RPG. Community. Rewarding power creep. Being able to have fun at whatever level youâre at. Cross over specs that have no and every relevance.
Iâm sure thereâs many more but Iâm typing off the top of my dome. Ion was once a forum poster like you or me. He wantâs and desires these changes, but there is something else at hand here.
Whatever it is is killing not just WoW, but all gaming on all platforms.
read this, read your name, stopped reading there
well some did roll for loot, specialy if you had a few pugs you should have done so, but people didnt and this made quite a lot of people annoyed, and they did have the right for it, joining a guild group, and then doing everything right, but still not being able to get loot, becuse the leader gave everything to guildies, it just was not right way to go.
oh , yes at one point you could change to masterloot even just before boss died, not sure when it was anymore, but it did happen.
and you said it your self to stop loot funneling, something I was talking about in my first post where, guilds whent in whit 2 groups over 80% guildies and funneling all items to some chars, where they at times had puggers whit them who got nothing at all, no chance for loot ever, becuse everything whent to a few chars only.
look its VEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRYYYYYYYYYYYYY simple.
you join a group - you see its masterloot, if you dont like it, you leave.
now some people MAY find it hard, but no its not hard to leave groups you dont like, especially if its a custom group.
im referring to legion ML and no you couldnt change anything at that time during fight as far as Im aware.
repgating!
it was despised in its inception Suramar and then they went and applied it to the whole frigginâ game
nah not in legion you could not do it, before that not sure when it was you could.
offcourse people could leave if masterloot was on, and people did also, I never joined pugs whit masterloot ever, becuse having to trust someone you never met before is most of the time not a good thing. sometimes though people started whit personal loot in legion, and then switched to masterloot for bosses, something many puggers didnt know about, or didnt realice it was going to be like that, it caused problems, and none of us know how many reports Blizzard got in a week about it, but it had to be to many for it to worth while it seems like.
100% guild groups, I would have nothing about having master loot on that would be prefectly fine.
However if you join a group only to find out after the run or nearer to when it is finished that you never had a chance at loot then it potentially means you wasted 2+ hours for nothing. Simply having masterloot set meant nothing if there was no discussion/information/agreement as to how loot was going to be distributed, whether that be gearing up certain guild members with certain pieces to strengthen the group or using /roll etc. A lot of guilds would abuse this to withhold pieces of gear from certain players.
I got burned on an Antorus run on another character halfway in when a piece I was looking for was given to a very rarely played alt of another guild member, nowhere before this run was I advised of how the Guild Leader and Officers were planning to distribute loot and I felt like I had wasted my time so left the raid. I could have made the decision to not do that run (although most probably would have run it anyway for fun) had I known what the loot rules were going to be for the guild before it had even started. The guild would normally have used personal loot and have players trade gear which was never and issue before this and never caused in any disputes over loot surprisingly.
Get off ma property!
I agree that personal loot and private property >>> commie master loot
imagine if you could choose. oh waitâŚ
Then all guild masters would choose to make you a commie.
Oh waitâŚ
Couldnât care less some boosters or multiboxers cant farm loot fast enough with personal Lutz.
I only care for a normal player who before got zero guarantees on being rewarded, now we at least have a chance.
if everyoneâs choosing âxâ maybe its a good choice then?
and everyoneâs allowed to make a guild so you could make your own guild and have your own rules
idk why are we even talking about this primitivety lmao
No. It was an official feature back then. The exact same system you use to join in the Warfront World Map Quests the big ones (tank/tree fight) with the instant joining but for even smaller world quests.
Ion disliked how fast people completed the world quests, therefore they removed it with a patch. After that the add-ons started to appear and sooner or later they patched it several times out until it became a hassle for everyone involved. This was a personal low point in my eyes and disappointed me greatly.
Iâm still looking for pvp vendors. They must be hiding damn well.
Ronda gave a solid example from his past, he wasnât a fan of giving his loot away, but guild masterâs favouritism forced him to comply.
So thatâs what I meant. I donât want to give a gms that kind of power again ever. If my Lutz isnât highest ilvl for me they should politely ask a person if they should roll on it.
Itâs a very crucial point for me, so sorry if it sounds aggressive but I wonât play retail with master loot ever. Just doesnât worth my time that way.
The feature [the new ones which should be already part of the game] has been removed because according the official statements, it was for people too confusing to look for them, if I remember correctly.
Yea I know, sadly, I knowâŚ
and rip my drink.
