Without a weakauras/addon how do you

Figure out which trash mobs are priority on mythic+?
Bosses are on the journal which is pretty clear on what they do, What about trash? So many different mobs in every dungeon with so many different interruptible casts…
I can’t imagine anyone sitting there opening a wowhead guide everytime they wanna do a dungeon to research the mob priority.

Pull a pack and see what happens, evaluate. Play the game.

In mythic+? People already start yelling when casts go off haha I can’t imagine “learning” with pugs or even most guilds at this point in the games life where everyone is expected to know everything.

Sometimes people are just miserable.

Games are supposed to be a form of entertainment yet here we are with these people raging in chat because humans are not bots.

That’s a social issue, I have a guild and I only play with friends. Actually the guild is mostly people I met in Classic WoW, who stopped playing when Cata came out and are just chilling in retail. We played to nearly 3k rating casually in DF season 3 too, I didn’t read anything, we just played the game and learned, I was very competent in all the S3 dungeons by the end and I wasn’t playing that much.

You just play the game. Now if you decide you wanna pug then yes people are only interested in the prize at the end and are not invested in you as a person or player, so the vibe is different.

Maybe they should add so people who want to can play with bots, even in M+.
That would seperate the peeps who gogogo-perfect vs learning/chill-playing.

I like follower dungeons, I wish they add it for m+ etc too.

I like follower dungeons too, they’re great when you get a dungeon quest and the queue is going to take ages but the follower bots aren’t good enough to move them into M+ standards where the timer is important. I don’t think they should be added to M+ either that’s more of a community challenge mode.

Try using MDT, it has everything you need. If you are lazy you can also directly import the routes from different sites.
It has everything you are searching for, including a layout of each dungeon with every mob , and each mob has its own description page with abilities.
Hope it helps.

You think you do, but you don’t. It will be exactly like Delves where they have to nerf it to cater to lower skill solo players and then actual good players can do it 50ilvl below the recommended with ease because they had to tune it for players who otherwise just aren’t good enough.

Hard solo content doesn’t work in WoW, because solo only players are not equipped with the skills to deal with challenging gameplay, and when presented with that challenge they will claim it’s impossible, unfun, unfair, and start to unsubscribe.

No that’s not what I’m asking for…

They could give handicap option, increase player(bot) party power while lowering reward ilvl.

Or wouldn’t the mythic raids be already nerfed since many players / guilds just “aren’t equipped with the skills to deal with them”? There is no need to listen all the whine about difficulty, since you can’t make every single one happy.

Play with friends/guild members mostly.

You can use it non intrusively as a dungeon journal. I do all the time. Just open it check the mobs then click on it again to close it. Literally a dungeon journal with mob abilities. I thought thats what you wanted.
Edit: also shows you priority and how efficient it is to kill each mob

Start off by just interrupting everything you can. If everyone just yolo interrupts and the tank doesn’t pull tons of packs at once, that tactic will already get the group quite far.

Run dungeons at higher and higher difficulties. You’ll start noticing which trash mobs and which abilities are very dangerous. Try to memorize those dangerous mobs. It’s 8 dungeons per season, and most dungeons only have a few trash mobs that require special CC attention.

If you want to proactively prepare, watch YouTube dungeon guides or read the trash mob notes in Method Dungeon Tools.

Not all mobs have audiovisual cues for when they’re about to smash your group. Without a small “ding” from a bossmod or a highlight of the castbar from Plater, you wouldn’t reliably notice it while also paying attention to the 5 other things you need to.

“just play the game” only works up to a certain point.

I dare say that hard solo content can work better than hard group content. Because when solo, people can only blame themselves or the design of the content ( the mage tower is a good case of the design being the issue when considering the variance in how hard or easy a challenge was on different classes).

Well in 2012-2014 WA was very basic I myself remember preferring Tell me when instead for ICD tracking. So in chalk ge mode gold dungeons we used to remember mob abilities by their names and fast marked them using hotkeys.

trial and error.

Idk.

I couldn’t even execute my rotation without weakauras.
Thanks for giving me like 5 procs I actually need to track, Blizzard. Appreciate it.

I think mage tower was quite a success? THe problem with delves is that they did not put in the work to tune it for each specc individually, which just cannot work with such different speccs.
Worst offender by far is the amount of whitehit dmg, they should just have focused on dodgeable mechanics and some riddles, instead of cranking numbers.

On the topic: You play the dungeon, you struggle, you adjust. That´s how you make progress in the game. Doesn´t matter if you use weakauras or not, although if your goal is to get better you should not shy away from using them.
