Beautiful.

Well, it could help people gar up more easily through PvP, and it would help reduce the number of boosters at the lower ratings. All in all, it looks far better than what we have at the moment.

Iffy on it but we’ll see I guess. I like there being a notable gear difference but at the same time alting is horrific so :man_shrugging:

Not just alting. It’s tough for new players and people who started playing late into the season as well.

OP can you post the link to the whole thing?

Would only work if they scrap the upgrades. Not sure they mean that, if this is valid.

Can you link source for this?

Source please

That is terrible. I only came back because the new gearing system let us have character integrity - which you don’t get with scaling.

WoD gearing was the best system we ever had for PvP gearing. But I would like a source for the OP, I doubt this will happen.

While this is my preferred method of gearing for PVP it requires PVE gear to be scaled down in PVP otherwise i am not really for it. Back in WoD top end PVE gear would still be higher ilvl than upscaled PVP gear if i remember correctly, i do not remember if this was baseline or if it was after valor points came back.
So while it sounds good for PVP, the PVE gear needs to be scaled down a bit otherwise there is potential for PVE gear to remain relevant and often dominant in PVP gearing.

PVP tier set bonuses would absolutely do some work to deter PVE gear in PVP like trinkets have managed to do, though only if they are actually good, in some situations the PVE set bonus (especially mythic ilvl) can be more appealing if the PVE set bonus is strong enough, since we are talking WoD i will give the HFC MM hunter set bonus as an example, instant cast aimed shots.

A quick google to jog my memory, 740 was max ilvl for pve and 730 was pvp

I’m very interested in what they will do with alts in terms of pvp gear systems. Will there be some reasonable changes or will alts remain just punching bags in pvp. Exactly this thing will be crucial for my decision whether to continue playing this expansion or to finally stop playing. For now, the difference in power/gear is huge and it really doesn’t make sense to play rated pvp with alts. In addition to the big difference in power/gear, we also have a huge problem with boosting. So, all this makes progress in rated pvp with alts impossible. I really don’t know where their brains were when they made such a stupid system that makes such a difference in power. Of course no one expects someone’s alt to be the same strength as someone’s main, but such a difference in power is really pointless. I hope that they will speed up a bit with solving this nonsense.

I call BS. Hope he proves me wrong. Doubt that will happen.

Blizzard never reverts their changes about crucial things.
And if they do, J. Allen Brack thinks they do, but they don’t.

where is this from? i wanna read more? who said this and what? sounds promising.

Can someone explain what does this mean?

Found the source , it’s from icy veins :
