?
The point was even with the amount of customization bfa had nobody was really happy about the additional options they had.
Even people who had everything pretty much just played the cookie cutter build in all their games.
If customizable templates existed this would be even more the case because instead of deciding between different effects ur just swapping around your stats. Which considering we have 4 stats in the game right now and 1 is straight up the best in pvp wouldnt be very interesting or fun at all.
Do you also feel this when a comp thatâs S+ tier wins over a S tier comp? Further more, itâs nearly impossible to claim players are equal in skill, even when looking at achievements and rating, heck, most of the R1s and Blizzcon players arenât close to being equally skilled.
If they want to, sure, but punishing a player for doing all there is to do in the game? That seems insulting.
Keep telling yourself that, while you actively play a PvE focused MMORPG
It does make sense. If you dislike a feature so much that you call it a sidegame, why do you even care of what happens in it?
See, I donât do mythic raids and I couldnât care less what they do with that mode. They could delete it and it would have zero impact on me.
Comparing from then to now isnât entirely fair if weâre being honest, the playerbase was higher, so obviously thereâd be more pvpers too.
But let me ask, if weâre to go by the idea that WoW pvp was the main aspect of the game, or even close to it. Would Blizzard not have kept going strong for the pvp scene and made AWC even bigger than it is?
Or was the issue that the playerbase just didnât care, and if thatâs the case, itâs hard to argue pvp was as big as some like to claim.
Not to mention, pvp for the majority of the game, has gotten very little attention in terms of hotfixing bugs, nerfing overtuned offenders immediately, whereas the opposite is seen when it comes to PvE.
Donât get me wrong, I absolutely love WoW arenas, and I think Shadowlands has great potential to be one of the best pvp expansions weâve had in a -long- time, once they get around to focusing more on the pvp side.
But I think itâs absolutely absurd so many cant accept that pvp isnât the selling point of WoW, but was introduced as a side feature to get a broader audience.
Idk why they still get so attentions to arenas. They are outdated. New generation of gamers have zero interested in dis. Deathmatch gameplay died in early 2000-sh.
WoW is not really an MMORPG, it is a session game with a big lobby called âOpen worldâ. You have INSTANCED pve and INSTANCED PvP. So basically, the only MMOish thing is that a lot of people playing wow. Massive multiplayer online. When you have PvP only inside arenas/bgs, there is no reason to make gear matter. In games like BDO is does matters, since you are fighting for zones to make your guild stronger and gain profit. In EvE, L2 etc. it does matter because 90 - 100 % of their gameplay happening in open world.
If this gets re-implemented weâve basically gone full circle on almost all things PvP related.
All the things which, I guess, were part of Ionâs sales pitch to get the job, and mission once he got it, have/will be basically reverted by now.
Gearing: MoP & WoD gearing â templates & Diablo RNG â âgear is gearâ & Diablo RNG, PvP gearing unviable â âgear is gearâ w. vendors â WoD gearing
Class Design: âExcellent classesâ (MoP) â âPruningâ (WoD) â âClass fantasyâ (Legion) â âWe call it unpruning but itâs really status quoâ (BfA) â âUnpruningâ (SL)
Borrowed Power: No side systems â Artifact Traits (disabled Legendaries) â Azerite Powers/Essences â Conduits/Legendaries (which compared to the previous systems is not horrible at all, imo)
The only thing thatâs really left to resolve is classes and borrowed powers, which are not as bad as they used to be, and it looks like weâll see some considerable overhauling of the Honor talents in the next patch.
bad change for pvp players
Right now you can do all content in the with your pvp gear, but with the new change you will be too low itemlevel to get invites for pve
i dont care about boosters, dont touch this system please
Thats why it being optional would be the best hypothetical outcome.
Of course. Imagine if the tournament was won by, I donât know, some complete dumpster comp like BM Hunter, Demo Lock Holy Priest. That win would be indefinitly more valuable than lets say Ret/War/Priest because its the ultimate flex of skill.
Just keep playing how you like. PVP gear was never meant to be used in higher lvl pve. I have always had different gear for pve and pvp. Bfa is perfect example how not to treat pvp players. I never joined raid in tbc, wotlk, cata, mop and wod in pvp gear. Bfa i was forced to farm pve to get pvp gear, but still i had different gear to do pve content.
Add back resilienc is better solution for me, and in SL i thing we have opposite problem
Make 1800 rating for 220 ilvl is fast and easy and versa is bis stat for many classes soo on SL i see many raiders and myth players go for pvp 220 ilvl mee too i play pve content but i have full 220 pvp gear for it because its best for me in pve too
