WoD Gear will be back

tl/dr someone who does pvp and then decideds to do pve with pvp gear is in a bad position. Very sad to hear, i am happy i don’t care about pve at all like most of pvpers.

They are thinking about don’t forget, thinking =/= will be. Nobody knows when and how clearly is it will be released. My personal opinion that they don’t like that tiny PvP community take a big piece of boosting from massive PvE hardcore guilds and will try to fix that. In other case we need something that will end this rating stack to many players coz of boosting and gear advantage.

I ll answer with the language you understand: This is a mmo game so if you want to do raids and PVE, u must do that kind of content and your pvp gear shouldnt give you such an advantage.

I have 2 alts, only my dk struggled because I play 2v2 with it instead of 3v3, it is like trying to make a fish fly. On my Ret it extremely easy, of course it took time but that is an alt and much less timeconsuming than BfA alts, you fill 2 slots of rated honor not 3 for example and wait for gear upgrades. Started to gear my ret with a +10 mythic dungeon at first week for example, that run took 1 hour, you should minimally use alternatives to increase your progress speed, that m+ gave my below 200 ilvl ret 220 iLvL ring, rival gear in an hour.

Currently if I want to I can join +10 and above keys and do an okay job with my PvP Gear, Alliance already struggle when it comes to m+ and raiding, if you make PvP gear useless then only skillful playerbase left on Alliance will be useless. This will heavily negatively impact Alliance, we don’t have WoD PvP racial advantage too, you guys only see 1 meter ahead of you I see 10. Alliance playerbase will feel even worse if these changes go live.

thanks for opening our eyes, prophet

You don’t see anything, you just pretend to be smart and want to get carried in pve with your pvp gear. Truth is that most pvp players don’t care about pve at all. If you care noone stops you to spam your m+ and then go and do raids. If noone will take you in +10 the reason is that you have full versa gear which is pretty much useless, if i were key owner i wouldn’t take you either.
BTW most players on MDI were nelfs and they were using meld. Also Every man for himself is still good and allows you to use 2nd dps trinket.
Imagine bringing PVE as excuse to something which will be better for pvp on arena forum. Go and make your thread on GD about how wod pvp gearing system will make your gameplay worse, but don’t come on ARENA forum with your m+ or raid arguments, noone cares.

Ok reverse the situation, I saw too many healers starting PvP for the first time, with +14-15 keys done. One of the reasons is good-useful gear for PvE probably. This will make both PvP and PvE playerbase smaller, people will spend more time on lfg. Horde won’t suffer much because of this change since they have more players but Alliance will.

I am completely against it, scrubs here will remain scrub even after scaling, if you can’t beat people that overgear you, you are not worthy to climb already.

Mdi players play Alliance only on tournament realm, meld is useless for pugs.

Yea try playing 2 offensive trinket yea and see how you get annihilated easily every match.

Key word is probably here. So you bring an example and assuming something and then say probably so you mark the fact that you are not even sure if you assumed something correctly. Why on earth someone who has already done +15 keys would progress in pvp instead of raid? Don’t see what are you trying to say with that example.

Which lfg, PvE? Who cares? You still bring pve argument on arena forum.

Yes that’s the system we have right now, someone who is bad won’t upgrade his gear since he won’t achieve rank for it.

Doesn’t matter where they play it. Truth is that meld is best in m+ and doesn’t matter from what side you will look at it.

Doesn’t matter, point is that human is dominating pvp on alliance side.

very good change, but people will still complain i guess, as somebody might already have said

Well, classes still are way off where they should be. They have a lot of things to change, and with the rate they are going it will be a decade or so until we are back where we were pre pruning and “class fantasy”, if we ever do get there.

My main and biggest problem are thing like Great Vault , with push to change PvP gear modeal and how important Great Vauild is in gearing up in higer ilevel it will be a big kick in a nuts for any one who do both PvP and PvE

It is something that was never a big problem befour in any expansion cos gearing was separated in pvp/pve but now a big gearing part in a form of great vauilt is conected what is not a problem in courent gear model but totaly sux on WoD one

WoD gearing with MoP/cata/wrath type of class design and I´d play this game til I drop dead. Sadly, no matter how good gearing become this expansion, the class gameplay still suck.

RiP MoP fire mage. Current fire is an abomination.
RiP cata sub rogue. Current sub is a one trick pony.

That shouldn’t be a thing, at all. I shouldn’t need to do M+ to be able to compete in arena.

You already don’t have to but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t speed up the gearing process by putting minimal effort in PvE. As I’ve said only 1 run that takes an hour, instead of doing a few world quests you go there and give m+ vault drop a chance, I replaced that 220 ring when I reached 1800 later on.

So lfg only exists for PvE, that is what you are saying. PvP doesn’t have LFG, this is what you say? Lfg exists for both content and you won’t have healers-damage dealers that do both content if PvP gear gets nerfed like this. We will have less players to play with, even now Alliance lfg isn’t so good especially for high ratings.

Then what is the point of PvP gear nerf? Catering to PvE players and shrinking PvP playerbase, especially on Alliance which has already small population for serious rated content, this is what is gonna happen.

You are not making any sense again, meld is difficult to use properly and requires perfect coordination with full night elf teams. Night Elf racial has almost no benefit for average playerbase on Alliance whilst you can just boost your dps by pressing orc racial or troll racial and of course dispell stuff as Blood Elf with 1 button without using your brain, those racials make m+ easier. So meld is not the best m+ racial, it is the best tournament realm m+ racial, it is a racial difficult to use effectively in both PvE and PvP unlike horde ones.

So that is why I keep seeing people keep changing faction to horde and play zugzug or blood elf.

Your arguments are full of flaws and devoid of any sense. This change will be end of the Alliance. Even now people wait for hours on LFG, this will divide playerbase into 2 once more and struggle will be even more serious.

Then how about specify with lfg are you talking about. PvE and PvP lfg aren’t connected to each other at all, where are you taking all this nonsense. Why would we have less pvp lfgs exactly? Can you argument your statements? You just state something and never say why will it happen.

Why is it a nerf again. Because pvers who naturally had ilvl advantage since pvp gear ilvl upgrade was locked behind weeks? That situation won’t happen again since their ilvl will be downscaled to pvp gear so it isn’t nerf, it is a buff for pvp players.

Listen, everyone knows that meld is just the best for m+. MDI proves my point, if people can’t manage using it because of lfg shame on them, i personally don’t care. If you believe that horde racials are better and want to be competitive you can always faction change, if you are not competitive than racials shouldn’t matter for you.

You won’t even push high keys with versa gear since it is meh stat for most specs in pve. Noone will invite you in high keys anyway.
Your arguments are full of pve excuses which is completely irrelevant on arena forum, therefor as i said you can go on GD and cry about your future pve career which is nonexistent according to your rio.

Level of stupidity in your post is impressing, I won’t answer further, I’ll leave you alone with you and your genius ideas.

ye ye have fun with your delusional mind.

I actually think that this is just a buff for PvEers. Why? Because as a PvP person that wants to time all 15s, for example, you need to grind double sets of gear to be competitive.

PvP people are looked at as 2nd rate players, because it is their gear being downscaled and then upscaled and not the PvEers gear. We’re getting clowned on.

This means world content (Maw) will be much slower with your (in theory) 200 ilvl gear that goes up to 233 in pvp situations. I’d much more prefer having my 226 gear at all times rather than 233 once people attack me.

Also to make this completely fair, why don’t PvE people have 200 ilevel gear that scales up once you enter dungeons/raids? They will work for their ~220 ilevel gear and then enter rbgs, arenas and have a bigger advantage than fully geared PvP players (capped at 200 or even less) stepping into PvE. This means that PvP players need 2 sets of gear while PvE players need one. Why is it not the other way around?

A long term solution to this would be:

  1. Keep it as it is right now. The system really isn’t that bad compared to BFA.
  2. Introduce resilience.

Great, one more person with a brain.

These changes will turn PvPers into second class citizens.

These changes will make horde dominant on warmode again.

These changes will divide already small serious Alliance playerbase into 2. There will be less participation to both. Faction imbalance instensifies too. You won’t have PvE healers that join your group since what they get from arena will be trash item. Arena and PvP going to lose its appeal with these changes. I will already quit the game if they really decide to implement that system into game.

This system has potential to bring demise of many things and ruin the game in a short time.

Even if you don’t care about PvE you are still forced to do it to some extent. Legendaries/conduits/torghast.
