Because #Nochanges. Back when Vanilla was released MC and Onixya were not time gated or released at the end of the patch (what happens in Retail). Once the game launched in 2004 everyone could kill Ragnaros and Onyxia in the first week. Stop crying.
Mc and ony is phase 1, honor is call to arms update (phase 2)
You still need to visit BRD, LBRS and UBRS to be attuned for MC/ONY. And due to 40 man raiding - you see your epic t2 pants maybe after 2 months, so you are forced to collect bis in 60 lvl dungeons.
Mages exploited (oh wow) AOE blizzard farm+layering and leveled faster than dungeoners… now what?
The raids were available on release of Vanilla, the honor system was not.
Don’t you worry, you will have to collect your full bis set before you get invited to an MC raid
Clever use of game mechanics. They sacrificed ability to complete quests for faster xp gain. Blizz didn’t like it, so they hotfixed it. IIRC, Athene got world first 85 by having a full raid kill fast spawning elites he tagged solo. Clever use of game mechanics.
I don’t care if the raid content is already done, but I agree that it should have been released at a later date. That would have allowed more people to participate in the world first race. It doesn’t affect me but I can see why others do care.
U docrealize that isnt the case right? Apes did leveled in dungeons as 5man groups, from 16 to 60 lvl, so at some point above 50lvl dungeons they spammed, they get their pre bis in those said dungeons, ofc that mage jokerd was wf 60, he exploited layering, okej, blizz saw that even in beta and did nothing so w/e, anyway, apes went to 60 thnx to dungeons, they did 60 just few moments later, had their pre bis and cleared whole raid on first pull maybe like day after this said wf 60, so i think all those exploits arent that impactfull, its just about howngood you are and how many time u have…
But this exploit “bug” was only in parties thst did dungeons in more than 6 people, they leveled in dungeons as a 5man party, so no exploit, no bug, no layerhoping, u get me?
It’s about the journey, some people will rush and then leave, sure. The rest of us will take our time and enjoy the ride. I don’t expect me and my wife to enter MC sooner than next summer. And it’s fine, because Classic isn’t going anywhere this time round. Yay!
Agreed. People still have this the retail mentality… fear of missing out or being disadvantaged by things that have no bearing on you whatsoever. As if being later or earlier than the rest to certain content has any meaning.
Just enjoy the game, the instances and your own raids. Who cares that another guild has MC on farm, this is not a gdamn competition - leave that to the pros.
It almost seems that people can’t have fun on their own anymore, they have to be on par with everyone else for some reason.
But these raids were available at launch so what’s your problem? It’s 15 year old content, this raid has been planned for years and your mad they executed that plan? Literally anyone who was on a p.server has had this day etched into their psyche, they know this game inside and out and a true hardcore vanilla enthusiasts, and you’re surprised they blitz the content when it’s given to them officially? So you now want time-gating, you know, the thing that in the classic communities eyes is the devil. How about “GG APES” and move on with your life as this has had ZERO impact on you except your ego.
Sure it’s impressive how fast they got through content.
Edit: sorry not thorugh content, they aoe farmed mobs in dungeons right?
But, to me this is not how vanilla is meant to played.
As Pandaren say, slow down, life is meant to be savioured.
