1 month and a half later, I come back to check if any progress has been made and with no surprise I see that the issue persists and not a single mind at Blizzard seems to care about it 
Try lagofast or exitlag. You can test it for free. It did work for me.

Problem is still there, even tho when you put mouse on MS it says atleast for me 30MS world 30MS Home, seems like they donât want to fix it but mask it so it shows that problem is not on their end. I have delays when casting spells almost all the time 1 second until it can be casted, guess what iâve made a ticket and got AI answer. There is noting we can do as players and i doubt that they will fix it, only thing we can do is keep this thread alive so when more players experience same problem they will come here and see that it isnât their fault.
Im having this same issue since January, i tried to fix it with blizzard support on january but they just said to me to do the flushdns update drivers and all that useless things that i have done like 3000 times. I come back to the game thinking it will be fixed at this time but no, im having the same issue, im playing from Uruguay to Europe servers, i donât have any issue using my internet outside of wow, so this is weird.
For me (country is relevant btw), in Italy, the problem had been fixed some months ago, and suddenly came back today, even a vpn doesnât make it significantly better, itâs several tenths of lag when normally itâs less than half a tenth, so it makes everything slower than usual, it looks to be some kind of routing issue with blizzard and the ISP, but clearly on blizzardâs end, every time we take the advice they give (addons and such) it doesnât fix it, then suddenly it gets fixed for ALL people in italy, and so goes for other countries.
On top of that, thereâs no issue at all on any other site Iâm browsing, I even have some characters on wow private servers since a few years, and I log them when these issues come up, but thereâs never any lag there, abilities respond instantly.
They have 3 servers, the first 2 respond normally but third one is dead/laggy and has been for half a year at this point.
You can check that by pinging the IPs and tracert-ing them also.
Im guessing is that some shards specifically like some arenas some dungeons some zones some raids are routed thro the specific shards that are on that server which is why people get the lag only âsometimesâ not consistently. Ive had days where i sat on my comfortable 20 ping with 0 lag and then the next day it jumps to 400-1k and sits there for half an hour and then goes away again
Its completely on that line and blizzard/their partners job to fix it and it seems like they just dont give a fk lmao
I tried the vpn someone suggested here, âexitlagâ, and I can only recommend it, my typical latency when itâs ok is 30 ms and this vpn brought it even lower, around 20-22!
However without that thereâs at least 600 ms with this issue, so thatâs a huge utility until blizzard fixes this, unfortunately itâs a paid vpn, I didnât have to pay anything yet, I think they give a 3 days trial, which Iâm guessing I already started, still very impressive!
Oh, and looks like it picked some route that goes through amsterdam, however when I tried urban vpn and picked netherlands, that wasnât helping, so the vpn you use is also important.
here is what im getting now; in game its 1000+ ms of latency that make the game unplayable; i hope u have some will to fix this plz;

I notice youâre also italian, so this definitely confirms: something happened again today, probably some re-routing, cause latency was absolutely fine yesterday and itâs not today, the vpn Iâm using does some kind of re-routing and fixes the problem, itâs only free for a few days, but probably worth it, the last time weâve had such an issue it was fixed in 24h in Italy.
Same here from Turkey. Connection issue starts early morning today for me.
Ok, latency is now back to its normal in Italy, however itâs typical for these issues to improve overnight, when thereâs less traffic, will see if it gets back to being horrible during the day.
Edit: itâs now ok during the day too, so was solved very quickly in Italy, I made sure to not use âexitlagâ any more, the vpn that fixed the lag yesterday.
I have this problem which started about 2 months ago, only World of warcraft is unplayable.
I contacted the costumer support twice but they ask us to carry out basic manipulations which obviously change nothing.
I live in Japan and the average that I usually have is about 200-250ms but from this problem the latency can reach 6k !
The problem is making me crazy because Im paying for the subscription, the costumer support doesnât care anything of it !!! What a shame for a big company like Blizzard !

Cata Classic / Firemaw (EU) - When I launch the game, loading takes a very long time and then in the game the latency is very high (1k to 6k ms) so its unplayable. I have this from about 2 months ago, I never had this before the average of latency was always about 250ms .
I suppose they dont care about this, clearly isnât a rare problem, itâs happening more and more on the time to more people, i suppose they dont care if people just start playing on private servers, we are all paying to play this and we are getting a spit on the face, this is disrespectful.

Blizzard is turning into a scam
Since this week i also experience these weird world lag. also in instances.
my internet is fine and everything is working as intended.
i cannot use any skills/cdâs the game doesnt crash but everything lags out.
i cannot manual logout/exitgame
to temporary fix this i alt + f4 reboot the game and can play. only to get this issue again after 15-30 minutes.
It started happening to me aroudn 2 months ago as well, also playing from Japan.
It wasnât as frequent back then but this month itâs been happening at least twice a week.
Very frustrating. I guess VPN is the only real answer here as itâs quite obvious Blizzard wonât do anything about it.
Since the Reset 2 days ago i have World ms 300-400.
i just donât know < Plenty of others games Diablo- Dota -W3 and many Steams games i tried , everything Works like it should be , but playing WoWâŠis impossible now
