Update:
Battle.net Launcher is painfully slow to start (when it starts) and friends list takes ages to launch and update. After hitting Play, WoW login screen appears and it’s “Connecting” for a good 1-2 minutes. Then it either crash me back to login credentials (You have been disconnected blabla) or manage to reach characters page (loading bar top of the screen, 30 sec at least) but after selecting a character and trying to log in it takes ages to crash again or log in with 2k+ World MS.
Please assist I was not able to play for 3 days and a new season is launching this week.

Same here, Still no response from Blizzard support? Perhaps they’re experiencing resource limitations, or maybe there’s been a shift in infrastructure, moving resources from the retail servers to Alpha/Beta servers?

i received answer to my ticket
:upside_down_face: :upside_down_face: Of course was the automatic one, this is sad

My post:
"Impossible to play since 3 days ago i’m having over 4-5k ms world.

I’m playing from Philippines, i never had this problem. I saw other people encounter the same issue on Tech forum but nobody from support is answering.

I’m not the only one encountering this , other people who are playing from outside EU have the same problem. Its something you guys did on the servers recently. Could you please have a look on the forum tech support and see how many posts are there regarding this problem.

Season starts in couple of days and i can’t play this game due to fact that my MS is skyrocketing.

Before i used to play with 150-250 MS , was perfect, no issues. Now its 4000-10000 MS.

I tried everything, flushdns, renew IP, update all drivers, reset router, switch to cable, trying from another laptop. Nothing works.

I checked with my provider Converge also and everything is normal from their side.

My internet is 900mb download 800 mb upload, almost top tier, please check what cause this, its since few days ago."

Answer from Blizz:

"Howdy!

We’re sorry you’re experiencing connection issues in your Battle.net Game. We understand how frustrating this can be, but we’re here to help you resolve these issues. Please follow the steps below, and if the problem persists, consider posting on the Battle.net Game forums or consulting with a local tech expert for further assistance.

Restart Your computer and Router/Modem: Sometimes, a simple restart of your networking equipment can resolve connection issues.

Check Firewall/Antivirus Settings: Make sure that your firewall or antivirus software isn’t blocking Blizzard’s games or services. You may need to add exceptions for Blizzard’s executables or ports.

Disable Background Applications: Close unnecessary background applications, as they might interfere with Battle.net Games. Check for any resource-intensive programs running in the background and close them before launching the game.

Flush your DNS cache and reset your network configuration. You can do this by opening the Command Prompt (on Windows) or Terminal (on macOS)

Reinstall the Game: Uninstall the Game, restart your computer and reinstall the game. Corrupted installation files can lead to various issues, and a fresh installation might resolve the problem.

Wired Connection: If you’re using a wireless connection, try switching to a wired connection by connecting your computer or console directly to your router using an Ethernet cable. This can help rule out potential wireless interference issues.

If, after following these steps, you are still experiencing issues, we recommend visiting the Battle.net Game forums on the official Blizzard website. There, you can find a community of players and developers who can provide additional insights or solutions based on their experiences. " :joy:

For people who want to have a better connection overall, please follow the next steps, since blizzard has shortage of employees and probably nobody will answer here. Important, this will not fix the SEA problem with connecting to EU, but once things go back to normal it will help even more.

Step 1:
Open device manager → Network adaptors , (if you use wifi select wireless adaptor)
Step 2:
Go to advanced (wireless)

  • look for Fat Channels intolerant , set it to enable
  • roaming aggressiveness , set it to lowest (if your router is close)
  • wireless mode - make sure its dual mode (should be preset to it but double check)

Go to advanced (Ethernet)

  • speed duplex&duplex , set to 1.0 Gbps FULL DUPLEX
  • Power saving mode , set to disable

Now for both wireless and Ethernet go to properties > power management and disable “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power”

Step 3:
Control Panel > Network and sharing center > click on your connection and select properties > Internet protocol version 4 (TCP/IPv4)

Select “Use the following DNS server address”

Preferred DNS Server : 1 1 1 1
Alternate DNS Server : 1 0 0 1

Please type the way i did it :point_up_2:

Save and restart your laptop/pc.

Step 4:

press your windows key and type “power plan”, select advanced settings
from there double click on wireless adapter settings and make sure power saving mode is set to “maximum performance”

This works to improve your connection and lower the latency. But this will not fix the issue with the connection from SEA to EU. Blizzard needs to look on what cause SEA to have insane MS to EUROPE.

Thanks for this.

Tried all the recommended steps already without any success.

Despite a slight amelioration of the average ping (it seems to stay in the 900-4000ms range now) game is still unplayable.

We are less than 48h from S4 release.

You will feel the change once things is back to normal, the server problems is from their side, nothing we can change will help us.

Normally on trace route i should be around 150-250 ms since my server from PH is connecting to Singapore and goes to Frankfurt.

I just pray they read the tech forum at least once per week. I tried to tell them via ticket to go read the tech forum. But no reply so far.

Kinda same here, for me is now 3365 World and 529 Home
3-4 sec delay.

Hello Blizzard,
What’s going on at your company again! Huge lags in the game and problems for a week. Earlier I was away for a week and I don’t know, but after the US forum I see that the problem exists everywhere - also in Diablo! from two weeks or more! Huge lags occur almost all day long only temporarily disappear when most players already log off.
From my side it comes to 8000+ ms in World (according to info in game icon “?”) all this as long as it is possible to log in which takes ages and again ends up with kicking out!
I just bought a prepaid and already I am losing a WEEK from this payment, I will ask for a refund or to add to my account additional lost time because the problem is on your side. With my bandwidth and equipment there is no way such problems can occur!!! speed test 6 ms / 450 mbps / 500 mbps). Problems not exists in any other game except Blizzard products!
This problem you have been fighting with me already last year and for a very long time, constantly forcing some screenshots, statistics and LOGs, explaining by ddos and other b******t, after which you admitted that I was right and 2 days later the problem was fixed. The fight lasted almost 3 months so not this time. WHAT IS GOING ON HERE AGAIN AND AGAIN?! Maybe pay a bills for internet and energy first, maybe employee salary also!

Same issue here, i have 3500+ MS , im playing from Philippines, but i never had more than 150 - 200 ms , now i can’t even play at all. This is very recent like 2-3 days ago.

Same issue, playing from Japan. Usually I sit around 230-250ms and it get a bit higher during peak times but recently it’s about 2k-3k at 3AM 4AM in the morning where traffic should be relatively low.

This is definitely on blizzard behalf, i hope this is fixed asap, its unplayable .

For example now i logged in, its 3:56 PM in PH, 9:56 AM server time and my latency shows “home = 617 ms, world = 8138 MS” you got to be kidding me.

I cant cast a spell, it takes up to 2-3 sec for character to react.

Same here. Playing from Japan. My latency is usually around 250 ms. Last 3 days 3000 - 6000 ms. Unplayable. I hope they fix it before the patch :crossed_fingers:

It seems that many people are currently facing this issue (see other similar recent posts).

Hopefully someone will notice and fix.

Doesn’t matter from where you play, today internet is very fine almost every where and like for me - Philippines also (500 mbits and never problems!). I have a friend in Norway, Poland, US, few other countries in EU where we played for many years and all of them the same problem. Blizzard always lie and ignoring us because they don’t care it is collapsing company started with failed diablo. From a long time not big, no moneym, no ideas, no future. So sad after 18+ years playing nonstop (started in EU)

What is your provider? Mine is Converge, i contacted them and they said everything good from their side. I don’t encounter this issue with any other games besides WoW

I even open a ticket in game, but probably it will take days until someone will reply and probably will not say anything relevant.

I don’t think so but let’s wait what they say in my ticket and how long it take. Last time more than 2 months and finally they found out it is Blizzard fault.

Cannot answer to all of you because this pathetic company Blizzard not allow it in forum to the time when “other user participate”. Total total amateurish developer, out-off date everything. Time to switch into Steam and remove this useless GB of wow. Prepaid they need? this game should be for free that’s all! Hey Blizzard go sell fishes in Divisoria if you find what is it!

→ Nozz
AGAIN CANNOT PARTICIPATE IN DISCUSSION BECAUSE BLIZZARD IS JUST A NOOOOOOBS AND DONT KNOW HOW TO CREATE FORUM NOT JUST GAME!!!

Exactly the same, but one of my friend play in pldt from Cebu and similar problems (actually he give up right now and no more prepaids). Only in wow, other games no problem, nonstop 4 ms ping 450/450 mbps (up to 540mbps right now), so no way it is connection. I check transfer from google drive and apple icloud - super extremely fast. Other games in Steam - perfect!!! Blizzard sucks. Catch me in Discord (orghal) or Messenger: m(dot)me - slash - orghal

Im also playing from Japan and here the numbers are up to 15k when its really bad.

Same same  send the report into wrong german speaking forum, 5-6k from SEA. Does it help to open a ticket? I mean there is a non existing support, if you lucky you’ll get response from an AI
