Then I don’t pug. Simple as that?
Although I am in a guild as well and there are always people up for m+ run or two if you want to. At least so your +15 weekly chore and then do some pushy pushy with your team mates.
If you pug. Then you accept the rules the pug world makes you. You can either “play the poker game” or “leave the table”. I have left the table in this case. And nobody is keeping a gun to my face and is forcing me to play the “poker”.
People have grown so dependent on pugs these days. No wonder, we get complaint posts like this.
Don’t you find it weird that some people in a completely strange land somehow know how teach you skills that only your class can perform? And if the class can perform them, shouln’t we be able to just do it, since we use them while leveling anyway? I would get that with the signature abilites, since that’s a power coming directly from the covenant, but why do Necrolords empower my shadow bolt and Kyrians give me a dot? And why is the Venthyr class ability capable of applying curses that only I as a warlock should know?
So we need to book our stuff 2 weeks in advance. Wow that sounds fun.
Here’s a radical notion. If you want people to engage outside of meta, make choices better. Don’t just stop people making them
“The way to stop knife crime is to no longer record knife crime on alternate weeks” awesome strategy. Will definitely eliminate the mindset. It’s a stupid “treat symptoms, not cause” approach. It will change nothing.
The part I was referring to was ‘the rest of us’. As if ‘your kind of people’ are so numerous that they would actually encompass ‘the rest of the playerbase’. Get over yourself kid. You’re not that important.
Yes. Whining on the forums will help solve this. Guess the best universal approach these days. Especially since this case is a bit of a grey. There are enough people who are also content and are defending the covenant system. So please don’t claim that “everyone hates covenants” argument either.
These are just suggestion which I can suggest working around with. If screaming on forums is in your view “the best approach”. Well…I won’t stop you…
No?
Do you know how many hunters, rogues, warriors etc etc died over the many eons that the Shadowlands has existed. Of course they have knowledge that is otherwise ‘lost to time’. Those souls took with them many lifetimes of experiences and skills. Makes perfect sense to me.
Amazing solution man, so what about raiding? Am i supposed to raid with aoe talents and covenant?
What about doing PVP? Should i AOE in arenas too?
I guess it could be useful for doing dailies and old raids, but i’d rather have movement-oriented abilities then.
You just advised on a solution that isn’t actually a solution, because it moves the problem elsewhere.
To be fair tho, I think you and lot of others underestimate the number of people who will not like the system. Hence all the “just the top 1%” and other such arguments. I’ve seen all sorts of types of players voicing their displeasure with covenants.
Well then it should have been said in the game so we don’t have to fill in the gaps in our heads. I could do all sorts of mental gymnastics to justify pretty much anything being in the game like this. Right now it’s just choose a covenant and here’s your ability now go help the other covenants and grind in The Maw.
I’ve never ignored anyone on the forums before… and i wouldn’t say that to anyone either, i’d just hit ignore if it was really necessary, no need to announce it.
You seem to think a lot of unnecessary and untrue things about what i’m thinking when i’m writing stuff.
Guess what, you’re wrong.
“Voicing opinions of forums intended for sharing feedback won’t do anything so why bother”
Firstly, forums are for sharing feedback
Second, “it doesn’t change anything so why bother” is such crap advice in general. Is my opinion only valid if I throw stones at Dev windows? I mean, clearly using forums intended for communication isn’t it apparently.
Really?
There’s already so much hand holding. Not only in WoW, but everywhere.
Whatever happened to thinking for yourself.
I swear; this world’s population is growing dimmer every generation just because of this sort of thing.
Maybe, but would it make perfect sense?
Because my argument does. It really, really does.
If you care not to look any further (like most of those number addicts), then yeah.
