Do they now? Because ALOT of top end players (like these guys) have said that they dont particularly like their classes and or builds they are just going to what givs the better numbers, dont see how this is any different, also im not saying they dont like it but its optimal.
Never said you couldnt do it, i said you will not get invited to groups, and before you say something like find a guild or make friends i already had this argumet i agree. The thing is, for me and for alot of people not beeing optimal isnt fun, what makes a raid fun for reclearing is pumping out more numbers than before, hindering yourself is not fun, beeing locked in and not experimenting is not fun, and going to a covenant you hate is not fun.
I do SO enjoy laughing my butt off pointing out hypocritical strawmen who play the meta-optimal spec, use the meta-slave loadout, have their gear corrupted in top DPS way, and yet have the gall to preach about “free choice”, “experimenting”, “thinking for yourself”. While they themselves don’t and in fact are the foremost proponents of using that which works, or rather, was worked out by some meta site, guide or sim.
So fortunate you happen to enjoy Masterful corruptions, Rune of Turret, Mechagon bracers. Oh and GPyro too. I’m sure you took all these things and more just for fun. And meta Azerite gear too. Just happened to like it! What coincidence! Statisticians are baffled by chances of THAT!
Oooh, so by your definition it’s THEIR OWN SUBJECTIVE FEELINGS that decide who’s a slave and who’s not? You mean, if someone doesn’t feel bad about the bad condition of their class/spec/whatnot it’s A-OK?
Don’t you belong to a certain party with a red flag, Comrade? You would DEFINITELY fit there, they’re all like that. Big fat bunch of hypocrites lulling working masses with fairy tales about how the future will be better, now shut up and go work some more so the new ruling class can slack off.
As this is kinda your subjective feeling, guess what, I remain unconvinced.
2:0.
Which is why I would prefer to play it safe and just remove the whole Covenant thing until ActiBlizz proves they can do things right and can be trusted to continue doing so in the future. After BFA they have a BIG debt to repay in this regard, and they ran out of credit already.
Yeah but blizz need to listen to feedback and note it. And show they’re noting it. Respond to it, even if they disagree.
In another thread I made it clear my horse in this race isn’t the meta. I don’t give a toss about the meta. I play with community groups and ignore fotm classes. I play what I like. I’m not that bothered by the Cov lock (though I can understand and respect, and see the arguments of those who are).
But the conduit weekly lock? What kind of crap is this? Conduits are gear. They drop, they have an ilevel, and once we equip them, we can’t swap for a week? Why not?
Would it make sense for other gear? Oh cool you the same bow you use that’s better than current due to higher ilevel, upgrade, you can equip it. Hang on, you now get a gun that dropped that’s better. You can’t equip it for a week. Wtf? Why not?
Oh you’re swapping specs. You can’t swap your weapon out for a week, even if the current weapon has no benefits for your spec. “Just roll with it, it doesn’t matter”.
Yeah it does.
Conduits in current form need way more flex regarding equip and multispec, and far from whine about it I’ve laid out some solid reasons in the past about it that have even caused Cov lock supporters to go “yeah that is pretty dumb”. I’d like to hear a solid argument to the contrary other than “blizz willed it, so it is”.
If blizz willed the deletion of a few classes, would we just accept it? Absolutely not.
But isnt that what alpha and beta are there for ? They already have feedback about how the system will be received. I was all for them doing their little experiment, but they also have a good portion of the community reacting negatively on it, they just kept adding things to it. I mean their aproach is “Here is c^^p and you will like it”. Do we really need to test out systems in live… again. Like in BfA.
Well. The issue would be that. Those alphas and Bethas are pretty much tuning and fixing any bugs pretty much.
I doubt Blizz would remove or make a major overhaul to a main feature. Its the same as saying. This raid instance is bad because X.
Well I doubt they will ask the graphic designers to pretty much start at square 1 again and draw an absolutely new instance from scratch. At best they can do is to buff, nerf, adjust at this point…
They did countless times, just a recent example Torghast. Also covenants, they kept building and building upon then to the point there is no ripcord now.
Yea, tbh, I don’t really agree with their developpement cycle. At the same time, it’s not really a surprise, since they have been bought by Acti-horrific-vision.
For example, they don’t seem to explain what they are trying to do. They communicate a little bit on the shiny new stuff, but they’re not really communicating in detail what they think is fine or not with the game, what they would like to go.
They also seem to be pretty slow at addressing fondamental issues with the game that pretty much everyone have talked about since years… Except when some dude create a youtube video that goes viral about it.
It may be that Activision is trying to give a good image of the game, that would be why they’re quicker when blatant issues that are known for ages by the players get public.
But… That kind of behavior (only taking action when your image is at stakes) is somehow sociopathic (at least if we would talk about a person and not a company).
While remaining as close to the core as possible. Torghast is still Torghast.
They didn’t just remove the tower and created something fresh like “Narnia’s tower” or anything.
There is a limit on how much you can adjust and adjust and add and expand before it becomes an absolutely different thing which was promised at the start.
