World of Warcraft: Dragonflight Talent Preview

looks terrible, there was no reason to change the talent system

Yeah they need to fix the placement of a few talents for sure.
Blood also has this issue with Tightening grasp being talented without picking Gorefiends grasp.

doesn’t look like the dk talent tree even works and some parts are just weird anyways.

e.g. Sacrifice pact can be selected without having raise dead. So how can you sacrifice a ghoul if you cannot summon one???

as frost you can also basically spec twice into empowered rune weapon.

soul reaper also cannot be selected realistically because the right side of the base tree is terrible, so you cannot get into soul reaper - ever.

You get 2 charges for it if you spec into both talents, it’s pretty clear about that.

yes and?
makes one ultimate talent free on the base. Because 2 charges are kinda useless

Wow all you people saying its horrible and make a better one doesnt understand nor played wow when it came out lol

Its exactly same wow classic tree with a modern specialisation tree we have but far more options.

This perfect as me and others arent sheeps we love to have our own builds tailored to us only so no more sheep builds on youtube and etc…

Also try not to ask for nerfs on warriors and etc as all melee classes will be balanced out and same for ranged so when you idiots go “Warrirors arms tree system is too overpowered, hunters has op abilities nerf this and that!” Ill be laughing my head off at yous while youll be ignored from them

Dragonflight will be better cause we will have our own paths in dps, tanking or healing builds just like in wow when we played for the first time but only better.

You’ll be disappointed.

Ignorant? I said it looks fun, I’m just concerned that, as per literally always, it’s going to be a challenge for them to balance because they won’t balance it because it’s never balanced and maybe that’s okay but I didn’t particularly enjoy Elemental Shaman being all but murdered in AOE.

I’m not talking about meta (and yes, 95% of players will we’ve seen this with covenants).

You need to get a grip and think further than your nose…

Or, how about I play what I want to play, voice my own opinion and you grow up?

Well some classes are unbalanced today, “tomorrow” others will be. So having another form of talent trees doesn’t go for or against this. I don’t see a downside.

What are you talking about then?

You could go and play a moba though?
It’s just a recommendation, don’t be salty.

Yes, and people are killed all across the world, so lets just accept that cause…well, it happens so it’s fine right?

Mkay :ok_hand:

Irrelevant.

Class A B C D exist today, Class A and C are OP now, B and D are crap.
DF new talent trees and all that > Class A and D are OP now… and C and B are crap.

There will always be some classes that are more Op than others in certain content.

Like i said before, no downside to the new talent trees.

Well, you can’t argue with someone who thinks it’s okay that some people find it more difficult to participate in content than others based entirely on the spec that they enjoy and how people perceive it.

Balance is possible, but it’s hard and requires more than just changing numbers.

Regardless, nothing further for us to discuss

Even if they’d stay with the exact same talent trees and powers, it’ll still be unbalanced.
They’re not going to suddenly discover the correct nerf and buff % for classes to equalize them.

They leave them like this on purpose.
They change the classes up and down between big patches to shake the meta.

Things always change, especially between expacs, in case you didn’t notice.

After checking the Priest and Druid trees…

…Frost DK is actually in the best place out of all the trees in my opinion, and even that tree needs work.

I thought about it a bit, and while I’m skeptical this feedback will reach the right people, here goes.

I think Army of the Dead should be in the class tree, where Soul Reaper is. I think it’s iconic enough for DKs to warrant all 3 specs having access to it.

Now I don’t have a good suggestion where to put Soul Reaper instead as I don’t play that much DK, but I believe it is a much more niche ability (an execute with a delay).

Concerns about the latest changes to the Restoration Druid Spec Tree.

The first version of the Tree gave us lots of Healing everywhere. If maxed out we could have everything we have now, with conduits/legendaries and tier Set. And even got more (powerful things). I thought that was a bit much.

The new version now completely changes that. Now if i build the tree in a way to get the same passives and abilities i have now. I will loose a tone.

I will say that one thing i pointed out before got changed in the right way.

Row 7-> left “Deep Roots” (I dont get the name here, but it may be just a placeholder for now)

Before this passive only effected “Wild Growth” and “Tranq” (AOE) now it also effects our main single target hot “Rejuv” which is good, because this talent is required to get deeper talents that mostly effects single target healing.

I will point out what is missing from my SL build and what i get in exchange. So someone can reply to this and tell my i am overreacting.

I get the new passive buff on Lifebloom (its 3x mastery now)
I get 5% passive mana regen
I get Invigorate → to be fair this looks like a REALLY good single target cd for sure.

I Loose Tranq. And i mean the ability i cant get it.
I Loose the regrowth crit chance → ok its minor i know
I Loose my 2 Set wich is a free hot on every target i heal, something that effects the healing output very strong because of RDruids mastery

For summery if Rdruids get released like this it will still be functioning and most likely be not bad. But it will get played way less then before unless the Heal Priest trees get a similar treatment. Because they get way more power then before. As if they needed it.

Feel free to discuss. Greetings

i am a bit concerned about the fact that non-alpha test, such as myself cant post on the class-specific Feedback posts, as i have a few things on my mind.
General talent: i am honestly a bit sad to see one of the things from the very early preview we got of the trees, not make it in which was a free abilities you’d seem to get at the 8 and 20 point gates, as i feel they be an optimal spot for Interrupts and other utilities as to always have them(although just getting them from not having to put in any points would be better),
as while i like having the choice in this case for Balance druid so i can grab skullbash and get a ‘‘proper’’ Kick, but in general, Kicks needs to be baseline if you keep intending on making mobs that need interrupting.

Alpha forums are for testers. It’s a shame they stopped doing tree previews once the alpha started though. There was plenty of feedback going on in those.
