World of Warcraft game director details which combat add-ons are safe and which will be eliminated in the coming purge

Honestly, I don’t know what that looks like. I have heard of it though. When I see the Guardian Spirit wings on my back and I’m Angel Runebear, I know what’s up.

I didn’t even know using BL made a noise until this weekend. I knew about the noise I just had never connected it to BL.

don’t worry friend, rotation helper will CC for us.

Grr we hate addons, but let’s add a baseline 1 button addon that other players have to endure people using grr.

You said you want this “social dynamic” of 2 people screeching at one another how either of them is being correct like ooks ooks.

Its also regarded childish behavior. And talking about someones death during the encounter while the encounter is still in progress and the talk serving no purposes in 99.999999% of the cases justifies only one thing: A server mute if the person doesnt shut up after being told to.

Its to clear things up if needed. And as I said your football example already fell flat given how the reliance on recordings has been demanded since ages now and is more and more taking place. Not even just in football but generally. People cba with feely feely and hurt egos when facts can deal with it.

And the logs won’t be removed as he more than heavily already hinted at it.

Removing addons was something I thought as well that this might be something they compensate at some point for their bad optimization and class designing they do related all million procs the game is bloated with these days which all tax our cpu just as much as said addons. Its just really bad choise in general whatever the reason, the game is not playable without certain addons.

No, because I was talking about playing football with friends, not about professional champion’s league

The addons are a fraction. You could run with zero addons and your fps will still tank.

They havent learned anything from BFA when they addressed it the first time. They stated the game simply cant handle the sheer amount of calculations in the background. Yet here we are years later. The playerbase is also to blame because they wanted vanilla talent trees but being able to feel every talent point spent.

“game runs better now, we removed addons guys” :+1:

If you just want to chill and then someone wants to play GM Chess then the issue lies with the person, not the tools. I have two guilds. I couldnt care less even if I tried if someone dies in my other guild to the most dumb stuff known to mankind. The issue lies with mixing the wrong kind of people during certain activities in your example.

I do care however if its during mythic progression in my main guild.

I mean it was pointed out how many interactions a single ability already has. And that wasnt even the whole picture.

You know when you have like 5fps? During the pull when everyone has everything ready (active and passive) in combination with hero. The engine is begging for the release of death at that point.

For example imagine you die in fire on the ground, and you feel ashamed for it. Your raid leader sees that in warcraft logs, there is nothing to discuss. But if he couldn’t do that, maybe then you lie about it to your raid leader and make something up. But another raider saw how you died in the fire, and calls you out. That type of social dynamic is removed entirely due to warcraft logs

I see it from the dozen performance related posts scattered around net when I look peoples builds and I see latest components and ppl saying they have stutter or big fps drops. It just tells me there is no worth in putting more money than needed on hardware in general and that the game is poorly optimized to be an mmo.

This happens even with combat logs. The logs are checked if it turns into a childish discussion where both fronts go to war.

Take mug zee. My fps goes from like 10 (maybe 15) at the very start to 45 after during the pull. In the meantime my GPU is having a field day and asks me why I’m not running any game while my CPU is heating the entirety of my country (hyperbole obviously).

Ive had bad performance and annoying stutter on game since dragonflight pre patch and still havent got rid of it. Its evident the game is optimized terribly to be an mmo and that the engine is not utilizing all cores like it could, but their choise for it were to make game even more cpu heavy for tww by adding even more dozen procs (hero talents) and adding more calculations for cpu, and now their path seem to be that “addons bad, remove addons”. I cant put it on writing here what I think of all of this but I imagine we are on same page with that :dracthyr_a1:

You can screen record. I record my runs to see what went wrong so I can prevent it next time.

I had a DF dungeon where someone died to avoidable stuff then swore they dodged. I said that I record runs and could check and it did look like they had dodged. Everyone stuck around to find out.

Searching this in recordings is something that has way more friction, so will be used only in big arguments, which makes it more funny tbh. And seeing the player character in the fire after lying about it is also more funny. In the end, Blizz needs to find out why ppl have been optimizing the fun out of the game, and pull these tools back

People just shouldn’t lie.

The player was so adamant they had dodged, that’s the only reason I brought it up during the key. I would normally say nothing.

I don’t even think it caused a wipe.

Shouldn’t, but people are humans. The issue is if everything is 100% measured and known with undeniability, you take the human element of doubt, trust, etc. out of the game and replace it by statistics and graphs. So if someone plays wrong, everyone knows for sure. There is zero doubt. Nobody is asked if they saw it. It’s basically a group of people trying to perform like Robots.

The logs only come after something. The human element is not gone at all.

It’s not like we know for definite what the truth is. Human memory is bad. Especially when under pressure.

I have a +10 Priory where I explode in front of the church then die a few seconds later.

When I watched the recording, I press FR and it still doesn’t save me. I didn’t know for definite I’d done that, it was just a reaction from going from 100% to 5% in 1 second.

Also screen record isn’t an addon, it’s just a feature of Windows.
