World of Warcraft game director details which combat add-ons are safe and which will be eliminated in the coming purge

And the something has been completely replaced by Addons too like Weakaura packs, OmniCD, etc.

No it is not.
From now i even question you play this game.

By your logic the healer should not being able to see healthbars of the other players, and should just heal randomly players with whatever random buttons. THAT is fun in your oppinion.

In M+ people don’t always log, which is nice. That’s why when I suggested soloqueue for low rating I always highlight how important premades//guilds/etc. are for a game like wow, and that it should only be a transition into content, not a replacement. For example I am kinda sure that solo shuffle is a transition for some ppl who didn’t play pvp before at all into rated 3v3, as they can practice first in a low-stakes environment. To be fair, Delves are also doing that a little bit!

I play since BFA, but I quit in DF. Now I play again fresh

I agree there, however that post heavily implies that even things like interrupt trackers will be blocked, omniCD will be banned, Bigwigs/DBM will be gone.
Sure, they might attempt to add those to the base ui, but the state of the Cooldown manager has me extremely sceptical about them actually pulling that off.

When I am healing for example, it is extremely important to me that a unitframe changes color when there is something to dispell. If that will no longer be possible it would simply mean I will never heal ever again.

There is a PvP regular here who says solo queue killed PvP.

There are no stakes. In the lower keys you can play terrible and learn what not to do in higher keys.

Even in the Priory +10 I mentioned I also die 2 times on the 2nd boss and we still time it. The second death was right at the very end of the fight though.

Would say mainly class design in DF made pvp less popular, but could be wrong too. The class bloat is incredibly bad for pvp. Also something that was designed this way due to addons, PvE-competitive, etc. I think

It’s not about wheter I can get those addons too or not, it’s about how they change the gameplay.

I want to play World of Warcraft, by looking at the mobs and environment to see what happens, not World of Timercraft, where I watch the timers and icons of 10 different addons telling me what happens next.

They should leave the addons alone and make their own stuff and let players chose.
Console players will have what blizz cooked, while pc players can have pc addons they want if they want.

That is also what we are doing with addons.

This is so much exagerating it is unreal.

I use the base UI and I still look at timers. I have to bar peek to see what CDs I have available so I know what to press next.

There is a decent level of “feeling it out” but I still check how long until Barkskin is back etc.

This is just a terrible take. I have zero faith that they can implement this in a way that does not feel awful. They couldn’t even stick the landing with the cooldown manager. I’m supposed to trust them to not drop the ball on way more complex interactions?

If they want to do such a massive change after 20+ years. They should instead launch WoW 2.0 and do it there. Don’t mess with peoples stuff that they have crafted to fit themself perfectly.

Yep, this.
If their version is “better” and more customizable than the current available addons (let’s face it im pretty sure they would have to hire a lot of professionals in order to be able to achieve this looking at the current need for addons), they won’t have to worry about players not using their version.

Actually disallowing us to use certain addons in the future means only one thing, there will be more restrictions than there currently are and fewer customization options. I believe disallowing popular addons that players have used for years will not improve the game.

The way rated system works now is its influenced heavily by participation in each modes separately but as all 3 rated modes share rewards now the ones which are not played as much becomes deflated, meaning that you see same 6 people with years of high exp in pvp but now playing on 1.8 something which translates to the death of said modes, arenas on this case. Their soloq killed all group play from the game sadly as they didnt have sense to do changes on the rating system or on the rewards. There is worlds highest people (awc players) playing from 2.2k onwards currently in 3v3 and the elite and glad is on 2.4 so you can imagine no one has incentive to even play there right now when the people who used to be 2.2 players are now pushed down to 1.8 etc.

This all happent cause soloq, sadly it also made all communities or making friends as redundant if there is no value to network and play with anyone. Quite counterintuitive for a mmo but here we are. I hope they come to their senses eventually but its been 3 years from that now. If you ask soloq for something, all you can hope is that they dont ruin it as much as they did PvP.

Related the topic, addons are even more mandatory for all these soloqs than they were for coordinated groups. You will have less healers, and less roles that rely on being able to see cd usage so they dont overlap dozen things. Group of friends just say what they use on comms, in soloq and pugs you need addons to see however.

But that sounds like it’s a MMR issue tbh. Or more just in general with player pool being low.

didnt ion say over and over they have a problem with computational addons and not informational?

All i can see here is removing information

Name one that is impossible without addon. Just one.

‘‘UhmmhMMm AcATUauALlaLY’’

Read my post carefully before jumping in. That’s exactly why I explicitly said “add” and not “make.” I wasn’t implying that it took them 20 years to develop features like this.

English please.

Which IS the mentioned issue, if interested, read the post you replied to see what causes it :joy:

Mythic Broodtwister

Mythic Stix Bunkjunker

Mythic Sprocketmonger Lockenstock

I haven’t got further than that in Mythic so can’t comment if the others need anything.

Previous expansions were no different.

I recognise those boss names. None of them are impossible without addons.

Is there an addon that removes an immunity or cancels boss spell casting?
