I beg to differ! World PvP can exist with the help from guilds… a community driven project.
We are currently a guild challenging others to come out and enjoy some Open World combat.
We have invented a system; A unique way to incentivise World PvP. I have seen it, when others cooperate and fight back rivalries can form and battles. World PvP relies on communities to make it happen.
World PvP was fun back in original TBC on Defias RPPvP. You’d get anything from 1 on 1s to big, organized battles. And players were mostly respectful in fights. Also, I was 20-something and more into PvP in videogames in general back then. Now at 40, I find I don’t have the time or the patience or even the inclination for it. Which is why I’ve stuck to PvE servers since the beginning of Classic.
And judging from the forums all throughout Classic, I dodged a freaking missile. I know I would not have had fun at this point in my life even if it had been the way it was on DB… Let alone now, with all the griefing, FP camping, monofaction servers and all the stuff I’ve been reading about.
