World quests = heroic raiding?

Recently, Blizzard decided to increase the rewards from World Quests. You will now be able to optain 400 item level azerite pieces from WORLD QUESTS!!

The easiest content in the game, is now equivelent to raiding on heroic difficulty. To put it in perspective, WORLD QUESTS has a higher reward than normal raiding. How does this even make sense??

I understand that to some of you, it might seem like a good change, but trust me, it is not. Getting high item level should be fun and challenging, and the best equipment should NOT be awarded through world quests!!

blizzard is clearly getting ready to remove raiding from game ^^

there is no other logical explanation

With the release of a new raid, open world rewards get increased to the level of the past raid on heroic difficulty, to allow players to skip “old” content and jump right into new content.

Is this something insanely silly if it happens with a 2 boss raid such as Crucible of the Storms? Yes, most definitly, but there’s been a pattern.

gotta make sure everyone’s equal!

imagine rewarding players properly… some people would get upset they dont get best rewards.

Its pretty much preparations for the upcoming 8.2 raid I guess.
Besides most peps are already lvl 400+ with warfronts and m+s and so on.
Only peps who benefits from this are newly dinged alts, old ungeared alts or some very chill “take yer time” folks who still dont have lvl 400+

Indeed and especially with a new raid release that requires class stacking, more than any other raid, it’s honestly not to bad to be able to gear a shadow priest in a few days.

My 3 characters are 410+ anyways.

Looks like one of those I only raided for gear and not because I enjoyed it threads

If its still unclear to people every time a new raid comes out you have to work for your gear almost from scratch

If you dont have gear you still have to work to get on pair with the rest before you are ready for raiding

happy beeps everyone, next Stop - every mob drops any item in game, including mythic raid gear.
*the harder the mob - the bigger the chance!

alliance ofc gets +30% chance to get a better gear, because Horde players play game more.
*can be adjusted weekly, based on the faction ratio

Every mount you use, can be used by anyone around you, so they wouldn’t feel bad they don’t have it.

In order to balance pvp, AI npcs will join a loosing side of every arena or BG to make sure every game ends a draw.

World of Equal Outcome:
Struggle to retain all players!

indeed gotta

just something i found on wowhead

people will be able to farm and upgrade gear via WQ since launch of 8.2 - not 4 months later like now

It scales with your ilvl My 380 ilvl alt still gets 370.
Those emissaries are rare.
Those items usually dont have good traits. Ilvl is least important when it comes to azerite.
Randomized 400 ilvl pieces cost 675 residuum which is basically 1 lvl 10 key which you probably can do easily if you have enough ilvl to receive 400 from emissary.

If raids suddenly disappear I won’t even notice.

Gear has no value anymore. Thats what the casual non-hardcore players always wanted. They just phrase it differently and said: “Everyone should be able to get everything” Well something that is availible to everyone has no value.

That’s what most raiders do.

That’s what they are thinking imo

These changes were probably prepared for 8.2 and went live before the patch to allow people to prepare for the patch.

There was an ilvl increase in 8.1 and i guess there won’t be any for 8.2 after this one.

People will be able to farm and enhance gear from nazjatar & mechagon in 8.2, WQ will cover the gap between fresh 120 and 8.2 World content

Gear still has a lot of value. It has same value as it always has. Sure, people no longer cream their pants just because purple item dropped. But gear with proper stats still matter. Look at new raid on Mythic difficulty. You think people with any kind of gear could down it?

I might argue against it sadly.
Does it have value? Yes
Same as always: Nop.

Would gold(the real life metal not in-game “gold”) still have the same value as it has today if absolutely everyone on every Continent, in every backyard could find it while weeding the flowers? (like some old stone chip or something)

If you weed flowers you arent getting mythic level gear. Gear you get from WQs today is of no value in Mythic raids.

The WF/TF lottery might disagree.
My mage(Revash-Silvermoon) is still running around with 420 cape which I got from an afkfront

Warfront isnt WQ, its expansions newest content. ANd i bet thats only Warfront item u wear. Warfront takes longer than 3-4 heroic bosses to do.

quite funny you say that, considering the peoples fault was not the casual players or none hardcore at all, but the elitist and toxic hardcore players, who started to use addons like Gearscore, totaly neglating anyone who was not at their item level, what lead to many people getting annoyed due to it, and thanks to that, Blizzard made gearing easier so all could have an equal chance, well that chance has gone now again due to Raider io, and people abusing it to some extent again.
