World quests = heroic raiding?

WQ TF is capped below normal raiding ilvl iirc.

WF Gear follows the same rules than mythic & raid Gear, and can thus TF higher. The darkshore quest is a heroic raid quality loot and thus follows the same rules.

Everyone had equal chances. The differences was, that some people put in the effort and hours, while others decided to complain

This game isn’t made of mythic raiders and rest, it’s made of mythic raiders, heroic raiders, normal raiders, casual LFR tier. These kinds of catchups are too much, I liked the legion system where you could farm argunite and buy 915+ items, which is LFR ilvl, but this is 940-945 ilvl, compare it to legion it’s crazy high catchups.

not realy becuse if you where a late commer or a new player starting later, due to gearscore in particular, you had no chance to get in to any groups, not even for a heroic instance, and this put many people off, it had nothing to do whit how much you played, if you never gotten the chance, Saw it my self how it was back in wrath when gearscore came to be, and it was realy bad, this was actualy when people started to quit becuse they felt they could not start to raid at all.

offcourse there was those who didnt eighter try, but those who did and still got neglected due to low score or what ever, had the right to complain.

As you can see you can’t force people to play with you if they don’t want. You are also describing a paradoxon here: You describe people as toxic and elitist, yet you claim the “normal” people wanted to group with them? How does that work out? Pure nonsense, if that was true the toxic und hardcore player would have done the normal dudes a favor by not bothering them with their elitist and toxic behavior.

The truth is: People are still and have always overestimating themself trying to do content they are not prepared for or were lazy and put the effort of organization towards other people and then felt entitled to an invite. Now since gear isn’t working as filter anymore the people with adequat gear and xp just found a new way to get rid of the players who cant carry their own weight. Yet again forum posts full of tears are popping up everyhwere about how toxic Raider io is, event though its not hard to get 1k score in less than a month even with casual playtime.

What I fail to logically explain is your d… nvm ^^

well for me it aint a problem, never was becuse I seldom pug anything anyways, I avoid any group who asks for achivments or Rio score, and if I pug I just do low keys and never raids anyways.

and offcourse people should know what they can do also, and not try to get in some M+10 whit ilvl under 380 or so, and this do happen, but there is also those who do put in time to gear up, even do some high level mythics, but due to not doing all instance, they never get high enough score, what neglates their chances to ever even get a shot at it, unfortunately also, many who do ask for different scores are realy annoying people, I do understand why it happens, do I think it is fine not realy becuse of how it pans out in the long run.

things like Gearscore, raider io, achivments, can in the long run kill a game, due to it only having the true hardcore people left, and no game can survive in the long run whit that, and this can be seen in wow now, more than ever for the moment, you could say it started in legion to become worse, whit people not getting in to groups becuse they didnt have the right legendary and stuff like that.

so yeah in a way the toxic and elitists are doing a favour to the more casual players, due to the more casual players eighter totaly stop trying to do dungeons or they just quit the game, but at same time, they also breaking the game for them selfs in the long run.

LIke gear matters LUL except transmog gear /item lvl is just nonsense and useless thing use your raider io wow progress exp/armory recent achievemetns that is saying how good /what have you done gear nowdays means little to nothing and below 400 right now means you are not playing it is simple you do not take guys with 410 gear and 0 exp to pvp i take 380 guy with 1,8k+ achiev same with m+ will more likety take 380 guy with X score than 410 guy with 0 score works for everything etc same with raiding you look at their histery and more gear/m+ score etc if they do weekly stuff for everything

At this point ITEM LVL STANDS FOR NOTHING has 0 value at all.

that is why wow exist from 2004 with thing you say would killed it already you should think more before you post something enjoy your … runs without using raider io and with guys who you start to think if they even finished elementary school, you start to doubt they decisions/if they even read they own spellbook.

I highly doubt it could ever kill the game. Gear gets checked since classic, on top of the old building in og where the big fortress is right now, infront of the bank or mid dalaran. Addons just made it alot easier.

What kills the game is the destruction of subcommunites like guilds, there is a guild and a community for everyone in this game but Blizzard don’t want that. They stop giving incentives and therefore people dont easylie find likeminded players to play with, which leads to frustration and the necessity of tools to find somewhat similiar players.

Link me 1 post where a “casual non-raider” said this.

Even so, I do agree gear has lesser value and that’s how it should be. The one-upmanship should come from (and does come from) titles, mounts, pets, cosmetics and achievements. These are available in abundance to “raiders” and is how I pick-out those that have “achieved” in a game.

Oh yea iam going now through all the old forum threads about the game getting easier and link all the people that defended it.

Nowadays catch up means HC raid/M+ 9/rival quality, mid tier 2 months before a new patch (if June) with anathor month or so for the new raid to release. To repeat Preach: “Catch up is the new gearing nowadays.”

The thing is, it doesn’t matter at this stage. Either completely make higher ilvl loot progression based or just don’t. With titanforging, M+, timewalking, dungeon events and world bosses you’ll be able to get higher ilvl without even bothering to do any challenging content. The whole thing need to overhauled if we really wanna fix it.

It’s all relative. This is the third raid. 400 is nothing now.

Nah just HC BoD or HC CoS, it’s nothing at all. Btw CoS is not even a new tier, it’s a side raid (they wanted to give the same IL rewards as BoD till people complained). All they did with ToV was add a few WQ. Now a raid with even less bosses is considered a new tier by the playerbase. It will take atleast 2-3 months or even longer (if in June 8.2 will land) for the new raid to even become released on public. People always say they are cathing up to raid, to never raid in the 1st place. But write post after post about evil RaiderIO requirements or evil HC pugs not acceping them, which only came into existence since having high IL means nothing anymore.

They said it was for LFR, the LFR which has the same IL as BoD LFR which was 350. There was 0 catching up needed. I wouldn’t want to make pugs anymor elike I did pre-Legion, the hoops I would need to go through to make sure the player I invite has atleast a clue. Before this TF in Legion and extreme ‘catch up’ IL still meant something and you rarely missed the mark. Now? Not so much.

Officially they are BfA tier one but the rewards are higher so effectively acts like a new tier.

I forgot LFR got unlocked this week. Need to finish my story quests. I’ve been too busy levelling Ninja in FF14; it’s more fun than I though.

The PvP rewards were butchered and now its time for the PvE rewards.
Lets turn this game into World of world quest craft.

It’s no longer a catchup mechanic, because It does not enable players to skip old content in order to be ready for the current one, it makes them straight up skip the current one, unless their plan is to go from WQs to mythic raiding…

we must also take in consideration the chance of TF on top of that:
I capped my 4th character a few weeks ago, lazily geared it doing WFs, WQs and HC dungeons, and he’s now sporting some TF 425 boots without even doing a LFR or a single mythic 0.
It’s main purpose is to gather herbs and send flasks to my main, I have no use for a 425 item on that toon, what does it help me do? kill that pesky krolusk that interrupts me while I’m trying to pick up an akunda’s bite faster?
