Neither did I, neither did many players… But the people that did have crushed the economy past the point of no return and nothing short of a world reset is necessary to undo the damage. Only thing that players should be able to keep is their levels because that is separate.
Tough decisions need to be made by good leaders. I’m hoping that Blizzard sees enough sense in this matter to ignore the criticism that would result from this necessary act.
Most people don’t realize how vital a healthy and balanced economy is to an MMO, the economy more than anything is the biggest source of social interaction and overall MMO feel. Without it and an alive world map, the game becomes a single player game with a co-op mutiplayer mode.
Retail WoW of recent years has got most people to think the only things that matter is raiding and competitive PvP.
You’re asking Blizzard to get massive refunds, lawsuits and make 75% of playerbase leave all at the same time, because people have more devilsaur leather than they should.
Its not a “tough decision for good leadera”. You’re advocating for killing WoW
At this point it’s wishful thinking and it’s unlikely the devs are even considering it, as it would basically acknowledge the extent of problem and that they have badly mismanaged the launch, but a good compromise would be fresh realms with layering removed or at least properly balanced.
No Thank you, lots off People quite the server after hige People transfer. But god luck, People are unsub and waiting on New server and no layer and xploite.
I know I’m being cynical, but at this point I feel that if this latest exploit is swept under the rug it’s really telling of the vision the devs have for the game.
This game will be played for years. It’s not possible to crush the economy in a few days. You’re just making a drama out of nothing. I’m playing, I’m trading on AH, I’m making money with my own ways and I don’t see nothing wrong with economy.
