Short backstory: As a child, their parents got killed by Bad Guys™, but before the child was killed by them, the leader of Bad Guys™ somehow decided to spare it’s life. While growing up, the leader trained the child throughout the years as if it was it’s own child.
But one day this child killed the leader of Bad Guys™ with their excellent assassin skills which they had learned by the leader.
Now this person…
A: Roams the city and is brooding in the corners or even in the face of people just to have some RP interaction.
Or
B: Becomes a lovey-dovey person who only show their bad side and super assassin skills when their friends are in danger.
This concept will forever be bad in my eyes

Late but: Me’dan is basically soft retconned at this point.
The character was, iirc, largely written by DC Comics (And it shows with how much his mere existence took a dump on lore and such).
However, since then, while Blizzard says “Uuuuh he’s still around, yeah, totally” they also took the chance to dunk on him in Chronicles. He’s never brought up in the actual content of any of the volumes. His only mention is in an index with a page number, a page number that does not exist in that book.
tmw you make a character so bad even modern Blizzard’s writers can’t stand the guy and basically pretend he never existed.
