Wrong - just renown level required and coming in 1st patch.
Wrong - like every other xpac you have leveling dungeons you can queue for any time
As is the case in any MMO - your point?
You can go to any xpac at any time - but its old content - and never in history has old content been viable to level up as you out gear and out level it. This is not ‘new’ to Shadowlands.
if you hate doing quests then why play an MMORPG?
News just in - people are STILL just leveling up doing dungeons etc…
Obvious statement has obvious answer - unsub
Actually level squash was needed as numbers were getting ridiculous - they did two stat squashes before to try to keep them down, but this was the best way to do so on a more long term basis.
I think you mistook this for another game tbh. it is how it has always been and, if you think the Shadowlands pathfinder is worse than BFA then you have just managed to troll yourself considering the Pathfinder for BFA is locked behind rep (for which you have to do quests to get)
It does. The quests are only required to reach the current cap. You obtain 2 lower entirely through content of your choice. So your chars have to do 2 WEEKLY quests to stay on cap, one of which is achievable either 5 mins in the Maw or a single layer 1 torg run, the other by simply doing content (anima) which accrues to over 1k a week easy.
Maybe I’m speaking from a PvP perspective but if I do the PvP weeklies on reset, plus world boss I typically have the 1000 anima by the time they’re done. It’s not hard to reach over a week.
I am not sure, to boost my renown I think I need to do daily brown/blue quests. As I spend my game time in raids and M+ I’d prefer those activities to give me renown/anima/soul ash etc
Nope, best way to level is park your self in a capital city of your choice, or anywhere that gives rested bonus, press the ‘I’ key, queue for a dungeon, rinse, repeat. Quit when you’ve eaten through your rested bonus. Go play another alt with rested bonus, or another game.
No travelling, no “where do I need to go now” “damn where is the flight path” “how many more of these do I need” “why do I need 12? what’s wrong with 6” etc
So you complaining about questing but did you actually tried to level a char?
This is a serious question because I did and what you saying makes no sense?
You can collect herbs In SL after you get to oribos! Flying or not you probably are using a druid so the mobs won’t bother you, if your not is pretty weird since you doing it for gold so you would think you using the best char in game for this since it bothers you so much not flying.
Killing things in fast respawn? I don’t remember need to quest to do this…
You can spam dungeons all day to hit 60, from my experience you really don’t want to do that.
Raids! Again you can spam dungeons all day up until M+15 with your key, but in my opinion that gets old very fast LOL, since we can assume you play druid just tank…
crafting and selling things in AH, why you need to quest to do that?
pvp? you can pvp only without questing dungeon to push your gear further and then raid to max it? when do you need to quest here?
Not being able to fly is one of the best parts of the expansion and i hope its not added untill the next expansion
Questing is part of the experience of an MMORPG if you dont like quests, what are you doing here?
You only have to do the main story line once to unlock everything and you can just mindlessly grind it for alts.
i HATE questing. but i also understand its integral part of RPGs.
but what i dont like is forced questing, shadowlands questing experience was the worst since 2004, if i didnt finished every single quest, in a linear order, not only that i was blocked from dungeons, i was also blocked from EXPLORATION.
world of warcraft is a game known for its exploration, never before i was told “you cant go to that region because you didnt complete 1000 boring quests”, this was disgusting and completely unfun. i was already unsubed during pre-patch, but if i wasnt, i would probably unsub during leveling.
i honestly cant think of 1 good thing in this expansion.
Are you also complaining towards Activision when playing Call of Duty that its all about gunfights and tactical warfare with weapons, but you want to ‘‘talk’’ with your enemies and get a discussion going to solve the issue at hand?
When playing Monopoly, do you also decide to play it 100% differently and not build hotels and ask people who get on your ‘‘locations’’ to pay you? And do you just go: yeah, paying me is totally optional?
I am not even sure what made you think that was a good answer.
Yes, they made the game and they made all the content for it. If they decide you need to complete 3000 quests before you hit lvl 60 right now, you can either stick with said game and play it if you enjoy it or move on.
If you dont like to do so, thats on you and the game isnt for you.
But you cant ask ANY game developer to make a game exactly like you like it, because they have their own idea.
How do you treat work or school? Do you also feel dictated to do your job in a certain way and handling certain aspects in the same way?
Or do you also feel dictated you have to learn everything about math and you dont feel the need so you just dont ‘‘pass’’ the class and just DGAF about your graduation and not getting a degree?
Faster & Easier leveling than any expansion before. (I even quit BFA at 116 because it was so slow)
I actully enjoy torghast.
Unholy DK is very fun atm, for the first time in a while.
Since i’m playing DK, Maldraxxus and the Necrolords is the best thing since sliced bread and i enjoy it very much.
The command table is imo better than previous expansions, I enjoy leveling up those companions. (feels like a gacha mobile game, and i do enjoy those)
The vault is a nice idea, giving you a choice each week (even if it’s still RnG and all choices can be bad)
Progression has a somewhat cap so that the 24/7 people can’t mega zerg to max gear leaving everyone behind.
Anima is only needed to farm 1000/week the rest is just sanctum upgrades that you can get “In due time” and don’t have to rush.
A lot of different story characters are back which i enjoy.
Through Abomination factory i can make an NPC companion that follows me around, that i can “Mount”, takes no fall damage, moves faster than a normal mount and does not get dismounted in the “You get dismounted” areas.
