Got same issue. Turning down graphics wont help. Fps goes crazy at pulls, and when theres blizzard, and alot of aoe going on. Got a RTX 2080 and i7-8700 so hardware shoulnt be a problem
Me and two of my friends have it too. The game just turbo chugs in 25 man raids for some reason. Its more than just a mere fps issue. If the fps just dropped a bit during heavy combat tht would be understandable. But the game starts to have small freezes. It has major stutters. Sure there are some fps drops noticable if you check the fps numbers but the entire UI is lagging too. The game has something seriously wrong with it.
Maybe it can help
Thats just retail, no ? can try it later
EDIT : Yes, thats not a command/option in Classic
What version of the game is classic currently running on? This might be hidden somewhere. I’m not saying it is. But might still be a command in the game.
Indeed, FPS drop is annoying but you can live with that. But the fact that UI and game itself starts to freeze is the worst part.
I managed to overcome this on some fights last raid by putting camera to 1st person view on some bosses so I can’t see anything at all and on those I got solid 95+ parses. Other fights where I have freezes all the time were 90-94 no matter how I spam my rotation.
A new BlueReplay would be awesome
Yep. Still radio silence
Привет, точно такие же проблемы! В рейдах на 25 человек фпс падает до 10ти! Пробовал все, от чистого виндовса с форматом диска, до всяких консольных команд из 2006 года…
8300 fx 960gtx 4gb 16ram ssd
I am in the same boat. no problems in dungeons/10mans, but crazy FPS drops in 25man raids, sometimes making the game borderline unplayable. did anyone find a solution?
I tried everything as well
Unfortunately nothing new and no new blue reply its been a month
It’s normal, get used to it
My solution still works - set camera to 1st person so you can’t see anything and spam your rotation till you die from something
I think I can help you dear friend. For some reason Blizzard decided to shift cache onto your HDD/SSD instead of RAM.
/console GxAllowCachelessShaderMode 0
/console gxRestart
These are the magic commands that might solve your problem. They are permanent, don’t need to reappy everytime. Let me know if it helped.
Cheers
That probably doesn’t work in WOTLK client.
Console.lua shows:
{
“Unknown console command (GxAllowCachelessShaderMode 0)”, – [1]
3, – [2]
}, – [966]
I am sorry that it doesn’t work for you but I want to clarify that I was talking about the WoTLK classic client. The command does work for me and there is another command which I don’t remember, that shows your current setting. Try googling a bit, I appreciate any feedback regarding this. Regards
Still not fixed
Myself, as well as a few others that I know of, are experiencing the exact same issue as described in this post.
We all recieve massive frame drops in 25 man raids, aswell sometimes in a packed Dalaran on Gehennas.
We tried every thinkable solution, but apparently our multi thousand $ PCs cannot handle a +14 year old game.
We need a blue post update on this matter ASAP.
I also have the same issue since months and tried many things to fix this without any result.
Despite very modern hardware and even if i turn down the graphic settings to the lowest possible, i get this stuttering effects in 25 man raids. This occure since the WOTLK prepatch (already in sunwell with the prepatch).
My hardware has no problem with other games which have way higher graphic requirements…
Please help witch this issues, this is incredible annoying and lasts already way to long.
Same problem since wotlk prepatch in sunwell.
