Why exactly do you think a question about wotlk belongs in the tbc forum? (not yet the wotlk forum).
There is no wotlk forum. Classic has following subforums:
Classic General
TBC
Guilds
Classes
Professions
Classic connections
A question about wotlk client best fits in the classic general discussion, as it’s a general question when wotlk classic is available for download. Until a wotlk forum is created.
It’s got nothing to do with specifically tbc, nor classes, nor professions, nor connections.

so yeah like is this another blizzard clanger or what? is fresh pre patch servers not tomorrow? Are we just all going to use the PTR as the download or what?

i already downloaded it from the PTR
You do not need to download anything (the client does that for you).
The client will automatically switch TBC out with WotLK, from tomorrow there is no more TBC, but WotLK instead.
