No this does not apply to BGs, because of sheer scale of the even. You do not have the time to write to 14 people after the match, not mentioning full 40 and you congratulations on victory will be flooded in spam of same messages after the match so noone cares.
So automated BG doesnt take away from the realm identity social experience but RDF is.
I mean “classic” folk argument is that rewards need time, so You actually should be happy its hard to get BG group…You would value it more. Also in 2022 You have discords so You can easily friends Yourself with ppl You meet along forming BG groups and speed up BGin process.
So You see, You cherrypick what You want to be social experience. You want PvE players to suffer while PvP folks have it nice and easy to play the game.
When RDF implented I remember excatly there was a one lock from Method with not full ICC bis gear but he was doing so much damage that I couldn’t keep up with his aggro and said sorry and he said it’s ok with a smiley face. After 12 years I still remember that experience and you are saying what kind social aspect that we lost with RDF?
Here is your list;
We losing spamming in trade, general channels for LFG 5 man stupid dungeons.
We lose people forcing theirselves to pay tanks to get in the dungeon they want.
We lose people reserving 5 man dungeon loot.
We lose people that camping dungeon entrances and killing people try to summon their mates.
We lose new comers that can’t find a 5 man party, gear up and catch with the patch cause cross realm actually put a favor for their side.
No one in wow cares about dungeon social interaction. This is an old game and dungeons simply daily choruses that we need to do better do it fast and get on the game you want such as socializing in dalaran with people. Having no rdf actually bad for that.
I am full for RDF or automated addon added to LFG bulleting style tool, Blizzard are developing, with ICC phase (3.3.0.). At that point it will be irrelevant.
In the end that is for Blizzard to deside, as is RDF situation. Dual Spec isn’t that of a big game changer for me, because I like leveling as dedicated healer or tank. My paladin was prot from 60-70 and my Horde priest was a Holy/DC from 20-70.
I played during original Wrath and witnessed the turning of Classic MMORPG I played from May 2005 into retail we have today starting in late Wrath. So yes, I am certain I do.
Yeah I am %100 supporting RDF for clean general and trade channels, equality people and not forcing them to play the spec they do not want to play or have to search for people and suck up tanks and healers whole day.
There are no social interaction on stupid 5 man dungeons especially in wotlk close to none but there are some;
I reserved xxx item.
You are dps is bad kicking you.
Why did you pull kicking you.
Why do you need my item, give it to me.
Why did you ninja that item roll it back.
This sums up your useless fantasy about social interaction in stupid 5 mans. If you can enlighten us more about how is it like please do mr dranei looking troll.
You can que or not que it’s your choice. You don’t have to do quests if you don’t want to but if you do you can why I can’t choice this and if I want to go dungeon try to find 4 more ppl and go to dungeon with %60 speed mount ( yeah at least we got that ) and make party and do the dungeon etc. What’s the harm of you doing quest and que the dungeon meanwhile as a dps and when it’s pop up you get change of envoirment some loot and in the end better questing experience overall?
Even if you don’t want to go any dungeons and stick to questing it’s chill and actually more faceroll than going into dungeons cause your class is more powerful than vanilla or tbc and quest rewards much better and whole Azeroth nerfed and there are litreally no elite quests that you need to like in hinterlands you can solo it. If it’s a kill quest you can invite someone but other then that people won’t invite you if it’s a drop quest. Cause people want to done with it and move on the next part which is wotlk ICC.
Your argument is hollow that I can’t describe it. Who cares if the lvling dynamics changes who? Do you wanna spend 1 week to get 60 and another to 70 and another 80? Okay that’s you. But you people that anti rdf forcing us that played vanilla and tbc content to teeth have to do stupid hellfire felhound ate my key quest putting our hands to disgusting places.
If you care about the only leveling part that’s big LOL cause leveling nothing in wotlk. Maybe in vanilla and there is a SoM for that. Actually challenging and you have to socially interact with people cause there are tons of elite and group quests which none in wotlk’s vanilla and tbc.
If people want to experience that what’s wrong with wanting it? What is it for you? What’s the thing that makes you hate so much that can’t stand leveling on your own? And who gave you right to decide how I want to experience my wotlk? I can stay in sw in whole day if I want or even go do erp in goldshire and spam hc if I want what’s wrong about and why are you forcing your ideal wotlk to be my ideal wotlk. After 1 month there won’t be much of a people that going to lvl anyways so will you quit then? People buying tons of boosts how does effect your lvling experience and is this stupid lvling experience will be stay forever? No. But doing dailies and finding a tank for dailies will always be there. That’s thing you have no clue about and talking almighty that like you are god like parser in ICC such a waste of my time to actually write something to you.
Speak for yourself. I only did Dungeons after LFD was implemented, I did looong Dungeon runs, waiting in the dungeons for tanks on bio-breaks, Healers with fussy kids … you name it. And we often stayed as a group and did the next, or another dungeon together.
Yes, some were from anther realm, but you could still stay together as a group and continue.
I do not recognize your description of how it was.
Maybe this is simply a PvP vs. PvE thing, as I always played on PvE servers or even RP-PvE
PS. I would like RDF to be in game - but not untlil later, and it’s decidedly not a gamebreaker for me like some of the other changes migth well show up to be.
It’s not and never was. The only thing limited are the badge rewards. You can spam heroics all day long. Get exalted with every faction (except sons of hodir) in a week.
Again even if it’s not stupid pservers can do it why can’t wow developers. No one saying people gonna get so many badges we don’t want rdf cause of but stupid social fantasy.
I could go with that. Let’s see how the new tool works, how dungeon participation is turning out until ICC. If it’s working fine as is, then I believe that we could skip it.
But as you said, not in the beginning, not until at least ICC.
The LFG system they want to introduce produced the most toxic and elitist community that ever walked on the face of this planet. It’s better to let the Lich King win this time…
On top of that, we will now also get the “link X achievement or else…” mentality.
