Yes and all the other changes that came with ICC onwards can ruin the game until then, but nobody’s really mad about this. Sigh!
It’s not one feature making or breaking the game; it’s the sum of all these big, medium and small changes together.
Bad argument =>
Yes and we did not have these things until ICC
- Summoning Stones: To use any Summoning stone, a character must be at least level 15. There is no maximum level to use these meeting stones.
- Health and Mana Regeneration: These regeneration rates have been increased up to 200% for low level characters. As the character level increases, regeneration rates gradually decrease, until returning to normal rates at level 15.
- Troll and Orc shaman totems now have their own unique appearance.
- Nerfed Oculus
- The distance at which these health bars are visible to players has been increased by 40 yards. (oh wait, isn’t already enabled on TBC ? )
- The speed of improving the Norfendre reputations has been increased by approximately 30%.
Yes and we did not have these things until ToC
- Cast duration to summon any ground mount is now 1.5 seconds, down from 3 seconds.
- The skill Apprentice Rider (75) can now be learned at level 20 for 4 gold. A letter will be sent to characters reaching level 20 to direct them to the riding master.
Companion Rider skill (150) can now be learned at level 40 for 50 gold. A letter will be sent to characters reaching level 40 to send them again to the riding master.
The Expert Rider skill (225) can now be learned at level 60 for 600 gold from Honor Hold or Thrallmar masters. Faction discounts are now applied (Honour Hold for the Alliance, Thrallmar for the Horde). Flight speed at this skill level increased to 150% of run speed from 60%.
Artisan Rider Skill (300): Faction discounts are now applied (Honor Hold or Valor Expedition for the Alliance, Thrallmar or Warsong Offensive for the Horde).
To continue harmonizing the number of mounts available for purchase for each race, a new 60% speed ground mount has been added for night elves, and a new 100% speed ground mount has been added for Forsaken.- Object comparisons: by pressing the Shift key. while hovering over an item with the mouse now displays the stat differences from the currently equipped item in the corresponding slot.
- Portals have been added to Orgrimmar and Stormwind to lead players to the Stairs of Destiny at the Dark Portal.
- A new zeppelin dock has been added to Thunder Bluffs to allow Horde players easier travel to and from Orgrimmar.
- The local mail department got tired of walking so far each day to collect mail and decided to install a large number of new mailboxes in Stormwind, Undercity, Darnassus and Orgrimmar.
- All stackable potions are now stackable by 20.
Yes and we did not have these things until Ulduar
- All ground mounts can now swim without unhorsing their rider. Flying mounts still cannot swim and dismount their rider when entering water.
- DOUBLE SPEC
- Applying a glyph no longer requires being near a Lexicon of Power. The same rules apply for changing glyphs
- Players no longer need to complete the Nat Pagle, Extreme Angler quest to become Artisan Anglers. The quest rewards you with a special premium fishing rod. Players who have already completed this quest can visit Nat Pagle in Dustwallow Marsh to receive this new fishing rod.
RDF is not a RAID or a DUNGEON, it’s a mecanic/parameter like all i listed before.
You just want a CUSTOM WOTLK, you don’t like this game, go to Classic ERA and stop trying to ruin our game.
This one is good one. .
Btw You should start lurking on US forums, since at least blues ones are there, since EU peasants are not worth their precious time
Lol what, the guy in that link you posted said “25 incredible communities are now dead because RDF wasn’t brought into TBC”. The incredible part gave them away.
RDF wasn’t there because it wasn’t there at the time, the core Classic players want a Classic experience, the overwhelming vast majority who don’t even interest themselves with these feedback forums.
Id gladly see a reasearch u pulled the numbers from
As a casual that plays dps, I don’t mind RFD being gone. Sure, it might take longer to find a group, but to me it’s a choice between convenience and the control over what group I join / with whom I group up. And I prefer the latter.
I usually just wait 10-15min while listed for a dungeon and if i don’t get invited by then, I’ll just make my own group. Sure, finding tanks and healers is usually the problem, but if there aren’t listed any, I’ll just do a quick /who for the class I would like to join and /w people something like:
“Hey, need a tank for X, you up?” If you also add something like “last spot”, or “you’d be the only plate/leather there”, I usually find someone relatively quickly.
I’m just telling how it is.
It’s nice to see how you tried to be funny.
Eh, ICC was half of wrath, NOT a big part? Half is NOT a big part? how much is a big part?
It should be true for much more. They should have deleted flying from classic BC and wrath. They should keep leveling difficult. They should decrease the emphasis on instance and increase emphasis on open world. And yeah there is more they should have done.
They won’t ever do these things because most playerbase is screaming children who don’t even know what they want.
Classic will just turn into retail again, and then we will go back to vanilla when people realise they actually appreciate the things that made the game immersive, and repeat… and repeat…
We don’t care about it wasn’t until ICC as nobody cares Double spec wasn’t until Ulduar and 100 others things.
I am usually trying to be on point … or if I answering simply doesnt help I try to at least come with something funny to say …
but holy green jesus …
What drugs are you on ?
He sniffed Classic Design Pillars…dont u want some ?
This is what I’ll be doing, with RDF.
Exactly.
I would really love to see some numbers on that please. Overwhelming vast majority… LMAO
Don’t mind him. He’s only argument, and he’s posted that poor attempt of an argument like hundred of times in various RDF threads. It is his only answer to anything really.
Its not a bad example, why should I run away from Golemagg instead of Blizz populating the server with Alliance players again? It makes no sense. So RDF would be fine.
Troll comes again. He is actually stalking in forums and waiting who is going to say “RDF is good”. Tell me boi did you like new lockout changes? Whole end game bis lists changed due to that.
This guy saying here and most of the anti RDF people gonna make max 1 80 maybe a DK with that. Play 3 months then won’t play till ICC comes cause they want to face LK but we the real player base thay going to play suffer flying everytime we want to do stupid daily dungeon cause you want to have your fantasy of seeing stupid lvl 22 undead rogue that you did SFK with in Dalaran.
Most of the wrath players kept quiet when people were talking for years about how dungeon finder was so bad for the game, because it wasn’t in the game before wrath. Now people who really wanted to play wrath are being disappointed unfortunately or at least many of us. I’m still going to play though lol
To paraphrase argument of “go to retail”…We can say “f off to classic era” if You dont want WOTLK :).
Because clearly the “classic” crowd is not interested in WOTLK since they want to bent it to their skewed idea of classic.
Also if we can check a measure of pro vs anti based on the last blue post on US forum we have
288 likes on post pro RDF vs 87 on Blizzard post that re-iterated no RDF.
Ofc forum is not a final data set, but its a good hint imo. Also considering the responses on that post (over 1.5k) overhelming majority is not happy with the changes (RDF and lockouts). Blizzard is out of tuch with their community again.
They had a perfect formula for a successful game that WOTLK is, they just needed to adjust the client, release it and profit. Now they get flack.
Obivously at start lack of RDF wont be a problem when content will be current, but when ppl start to raid or want to level alts, the problem will start to surface.
In what WotLK? 3.3.0. system that made RDF crossrealm automated as social no brainer? I do not state that social interaction happens during party gathering, as in “LFM Tank, 1 ranged (mage, lock, SP)”. Neither is dungeon run itself is social interaction, when people are busy saving time with short calls.
However the difference comes AFTER the run is complete. With manual parties gathered on one serves people knew they had chance to find next party faster if they made new contacts and they did added well playing party members to friend lists. Sometimes they even make the second run. This also ment that most players cared about their reputation and tried to do their best during the run on small 3-5K ish realms of the original early Wrath.
After automated crosserver RDF you were interested only in hopping out of the instance group ASAP to get into new queue, before other dps somewhere does the same. Yes you had to wait 20 minutes anyway, because everyone did so, but you didn’t even remembered names of the people you had made previous run with. Some may have even had been from your server, but you left so quickly and didn’t payed attention to it during the run. All this because you knew that automated system will find you someone, be it a good or a bad player, toxic leaver or whatever.
From autopsy the second paragraph almost never happens.
As for first paragraph if we go by that measure we should also stagger other changes WOTLK brought, like dual spec coming in Ulduar phase or to apply glyph u need to stand near to some item.
I dont remember any pug names I was doing dungs with in classic…the only prominent person I remember is Panzerhoof solely for selling tanking services. I only know my guildies names
Also what about automated battle grounds system, wouldnt Your arguments apply over there too? Where You meet good pvpers and You form stable long living group of “friends” to pvp with?
But I dont see threads popping from Design Pillars supporters of social experience - “WE WANT BG QUEUES REMOVED”. Sorry there is one, but I think its sarcastic in its tone
