Always amazes me how people, somehow, manage to get suspended in this game  just be normal, and you won’t get suspended - it’s very easy.

Of course it is? League is infinitely better with every year. Frequent balance changes makes the game feel fresh. The latest patch unironically changed the game more than TWW changed from DF. Free to play btw. The e-sport events get more viewers with each year while AWC was sitting at what, 5k viewers? :joy:. I am surprised they still even support AWC, but from the marketing POV it makes sense. They wanna make the expansion as much appealing when it’s new and then go quiet for 2 years and let it die as per usual.

Only to some extend, but no. Avg League player is probably 10 years younger than avg WoW boomer. So it an issue of a much bigger scale.
But everyone should realize at this point that they implemented very much similar behaviour system to WoW so you might as well adapt.

This is a 10 years old video bro, might as well watch some WW2 documentary while at it.

this is irrational from the company’s perspective.

this.

Based on my 18 years of playing WoW and interacting eith players I do not trust your narrative OP.

That being said, I concour that the playerbase has learned to abuse mass report and Blizzard has done not good enough of a job at enforcing their own TOS.

I dont mind being punished for when Im in the wrong BUT
there must be a clear line whats appropriate and what isnt, not just “oh this sounds really offensive to me because i read it in this bad tone” and second I find it absurd players with mild language breaches to be put on the same scale as abusers, griefters, win-traders, scammers and real verbal racist/discriminatory breaches.
Mild language breaches should never be permanent ban.
I think thats common sense.
And I am actually shocked to find that the majority of people here disagree with this.
Another thing is → automatic ban system shouldnt be a thing.
Hire people, we pay you enough.

Funnily enough my post got “hidden” because of multiple reports.
You guys realize you just prove my point ?

Then you probably deserved it. Stop being annoying, no one wants to be told 50 times stop breaking polymorph.

Come on, no one gets banned for nothing. You know why you got banned. You have also been banned many times as you have stated so you clearly dont know how to behave in a forum. I expect better behavior from you as you are a grown man.

Bec, you of all people should never say that. I legit laughed my bum off.
You unironically make the most annoying claims, posts and your behaviour even here on the forums where people are supposed to exchange ideas is antithetical 9 out of 10 times.

Wrong. I know people who have been BANNED for having a ‘Skyfury up’ macro.

the video is still relevant to this day, sums up league perfectly

when i said if it was better, i didn’t mean compared to wow, i meant comapred to league BEFORE the banwaves

it did not, fix toxcicity at all.

I may make annoying posts however I never break forum rules and never get banned, unlike you guys that dont make ‘annoying posts’ but yet somehow always get banned.

Yes my ideas and mindset is always the opposite of the herd. I dont follow the sheep herd, if your one of them you can never find the real answer, you just end up thinking the same as the rest do.

Yes.

  1. You were incredibly rude and toxic and disruptive in public chat channels to the degree that you were handed mute after mute, then permanently banned.
  2. You swapped to a new account where you continued this behaviour and were handed a warning.
  3. You are now upset that Blizzard is handling toxicity rather than first banning all the griefers, boosters and exploiters.
  4. You fail to realise you are a major part of the problem of modern gaming spaces, where people will endlessly yap in public chat channels at the slightest inconvenience and turn every taking of a base, death of a team mate or capping of a flag into an opportunity to flame someone

You weren’t rude. You were repeatedly toxic in public chat channels likely in the middle of a shuffle or bg or blitz, which loads the chat with utter tripe making calling harder, essentially CCs yourself and stops you playing as you yap, demoralises your team and makes people not want to queue up anymore.

What did you think was going to happen when you actively go out of your way to attack Blizzard’s customers in Blizzard games?

Look forward to reading your next thread where you tell us your second account has been banned.

Its not about fixing it since you cant do that. People will always be toxic in one way or another so if you want to fix toxicity you need to fix every single person first. We all know thats impossible.
Its about trying to reduce it which is why some rules are either being added or are actually being enforced which has been ignored for a long time. Like WoW.

While there are cases of bans happening that have 0 reasons to happen there are also alot of people who downplays what they did/do or just outright lie. Way too many people do that so I rarely take what others say as face value.

Then we come down to, what is considered toxic? How far can I go without being punished if ppl report me? To that I have no clue. So I always try to be calm while ingame even when I can be mad outside the screen. It wont help the situation if I tell X person hes bad or more.

idk, ive been gaming since 2004, toxcicity was never an issue, no matter how many times people wished my family died from cancer to me in wishper.

how many times did you report them?

you get banned for being reported, unless they have an automatic filter in place that detects your language and bans you, like in club penguin or whatever

i rarely report for flaming, when i do its an emotional answer to something i don’t evenc are about, im prob more upset by the attitude then w/e was being said in the chat

also, back then there was no report buttons
we flamed eachother, we went for the 1v1, we trashtalk, and then we ended up same team in matchmaking, and we worked to win, and then we became temmates, and then we even met in real life at tournaments.

that was gaming

nowdays, its just woke snowflake culture, today u think its fine, in 15 years, people will be offended by the color of your socks, and u will be banned.
what people get offended by changes constantly

well there you go. no report, no ban.

when? reporting has been in the game since bnet integration at least, which was Cata pre patch I believe. prior to that making a ticket about someone threatening or harassing you would 100000% result in them getting a warning and then a ban if they continued.

this can be fun as well, but it is not so fun when you queue up as a new player to learn resto druid in a random BG and some psychotic freak starts flaming you for no reason because he has undiagnosed mental problems that he disguises by playing WoW 15 hours per day.

toxicity has been a commonly cited reason for people quitting online games for years and Blizzard would be fools to not respond to it.

everything changes constantly. you need to change as well with time or you get thrown to the wayside and left behind. 100% your choice. it isn’t difficult to not flame people in the game.

no u don’t get it, i don’t report, because i think banning players for w/e they say in chat is wrong, im not saying “omg they don’t get banned and they flame me”
