WoW chat police is turnin the game asocial

sure i understand that. if i had it my way the chat would look like /pol/. I don’t care about how people speak to me because I will return the favour or just troll them for fun or ignore them if i cba. but the overwhelming majority of people do not want to read this sort of nonsense and they don’t want to ignore them only for them to grief games anyway because they’re having a tantrum and standing around chatting mid bg or mid arena.

Blizzard responds to what is generally wanted in their games and it doesn’t take a whole lot of sales pitching to sell people on the idea “maybe we don’t want some guy standing still mid game and telling our customers hes going to kill their family or that they should neck themselves or that they’re awful and should uninstall our game?”

w/e man, sorry but u r a lost cause, this is gonna just ruin gaming, u just don’t see it yet.

i promise you gaming will not end because i can’t use in game chat to tell my disc priest yesterday to perform the rope and chair trick after he stood in africa and let our FC die.

come on man.

Its funny that some people believe they should be allowed to say anything in chat.
While I do believe some trash talk can be allowed, depending on context, but some ppl rly believe if you censor one thing, you censor everything.

This is only true if we speak about 4 years ago. As for now -1 more slip would be a permanent ban so i moved my toons.
As for my behaviour on my new account i got my chat mostly turned off and I dont engage in any banter- so this warning makes no sense.
Stop assuming the worst just because you dislike me.

Thats another thing you assume wrong.
Theres no reason for them to not be able to ban both.
The only think i ever questioned is going after mild cases so harshly.
The abstract nature of the rules, as sometimes u get a warning for absurd things like macro signaling your team that your totem is down (as mentioned above) to things that simply are red in the wrong tone, which are not necesserily dirsuptive or offensive.
Its weaponized sensitivity to put it simply.

You go to absurd lengths to turn this into something that its not.
I didnt do any of this. And please stop talking as if you were anywhere around me, ever. i never played with you.
Infact the last time I got banned and my ban got revoked was for the exact same reason that i told people to keep the chat clean so we can read calls easily as we were waiting for calls from our rogue.
So stop assuming im some monstrosity- i clearly am not, I would need a great deal of arrogance to act like this and come here to cry about it. Im not so immature, neither am I pathological.

Theres no way of you knowing if I did any of that. Plus i am a customer myself.
Everyday , everything you comment is driven by you attempting to act like a smartie bad-cop type of forumer and chase this dopamine of convincing yourself that you’re always right on the premis of your own hypothetical narrative.
Stop it, its absurd, and not healthy for anybody, neither it is for you.
If i am toxic the way that i am currently, if we compare - you would be way more toxic for what you do rn doesnt come from the sanest of places.
Stop barraging every topic with the pure intention of getting a reaction.

My account wasnt banned, it was wrongfuly flagged.
Once again- stop acting narcisistic.

This is objectively correct and I personally agree with it.
It is of my opinion that humans learn through habbit but for a habbit to be corrected one must know why their actions led to the consequences.
In many of the cases you DO NOT KNOW why you’ve been flagged or warned for.
Blizzard also do not always provide the evidence either.
The reasons why I made this thread were and still are:
-Clearer rules instead of abstractions.
-Proper regulation of severity of the breecher ( i find permanent ban being the ultimate punishment, it shouldnt be applied to mild cases which can be solved with simply a chat-ban or this perma ban should be applied only in severe cases)
-and last but not least. Penalties severity which stacks up each time you screw up, should diminish over time. Meaning → you were had whatever breeches , lets say u had 4 small breeches of conduct, now u are banned for 3 months, if you slip up again its gonna be 6 months, okay but if u are a good boy for the next 1 year and then u happen to accidentally let it fly again, its gonna be only 1 month instead of a 6 months into a perma ban as it is right now.
Nobody says there shouldnt be control. There absolutely should be. But making people shake everytime they write something is really not healthy.

Bonus take: People act like its so abnormal to be upset as a human being and saying something mild (not the case. i ddint do this on my new account so dont come at me) but most reports come from emotional vendetta or pure trolls weaponizing the report system for the keks.

Its for him its more important to feel morally superior when hes annonimous because you cant hold him accountable for how he really is like.
Him acting like the bad cop in every thread is obvious to everybody that doesnt stem from a healthy place.
These are the types of people that did witch- hunts back in the day.
Just give him a moral high ground and these types of people will justify throwing rocks at you to be a moral act of peak values.
Its pure narcisistic sadism in reality though.

Just for the record.
This is not what its about.
Its about rules being so abstract that you cannot adjust to them simply because you dont even know where you did wrong.
I repeat myself but - there must be control, just the extreme answer to mild cases solves nothing except for create a pay- wall for old enough accounts who will not lose their collectables for nothing in the world.

After I got 10 days ban I just turned off chat completely, playing wow is not even an mmorpg experience at this point.

And banning for chat toxicity in PAID game is some sort of fraud from blizzard.

I just wonna say:
getting rid of the toxic person via getting them right back into the game makes no sense.
Because if you ban a person for 3 months, they will sit it out and ponder
but if you perma ban someone, they will make a new account into their old banned account in the form of WoW2 and go back in anyway have all of their collectables and would just need to level.
Another thing is my case: Where out of paranoia for saying something wrong I had to pay for all my toons to be moved from my old account to my new one so my strikes can be reset. And thank God i did thats since after 2 days of playing i got a Warning, which couldve easily been a perma ban.
So
The only problem this solves is Bobby’s yacht.
And the fact that the majority of people here defend this is freaking crazy to me.

and yet i’ve not had a warning since Cata, and you’ve been perma banned and had a warning on a second account.

Stay up-to-date man, Bobby’s been gone since Dec 29th last year.

Sorry but i find this difficult to believe having in mind how you conduct yourself in the forums and how you blatantly lie.
I am not permanently banned.

its a meme. it communicates humourous principles which apply correctly.
Isnt it a little weak to present your arguments in the form of a straw-pick?
you clearly got nothing constructive to add to the conversation, why not leave ?

theres like 4 layers of irony to that post. keeps getting better with each re-read.

Narcisistic high goes brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr?

got permabanned in wod for beeing toxic

the auto report system already existed in wod

"i wish u wouldnt get a behavior warning if u type nonsense stuff like “i have the black belt in judo i will carry this game”

stuff like this getting censored, while people with the name "inbr**d walking happy around and doing m+ dungeons, i just woander if it have any impact to have more accounts in this point if u want to report someone

on the us forum a gm said there is a threshold in the auto report system, people guess its something around 7-10

so even when a people play against the rule, when everyone is fine with it except u, you alone cant do anything about it

Do I think that automated systems are idiotic? Yes.

Do I think it’s absurd that you can be actioned just by having enough people report you, even if the reports themselves are false? Also yes (although this function is quite useful for occasionally getting yourself free name changes. xD)

That said, I’ve had my original account since TBC and a second since late WotLK and I’ve never had either of them actioned in any capacity. Perhaps it was my time spent first playing Runescape as a child that taught me how to treat other human beings, or perhaps I was just fortunate enough to have English as my mother tongue to help avoid making unintentionally inflammatory remarks.

Either way, reading this after watching OP tell people to “seek therapy” amongst other pleasantries is exceedingly funny.

Since they banned my previous account and lost all my characters and few achievements, I almost stopped chatting.

But i get warning windows. Why?

Because i m a very bad player (PVP) and people cannot understand that i am simply not able to stand up to their expectations . They think i grief etc. So, especially in the very beginning of the season, where i had to play with super glads and elites, all these people thought my mistakes and absurdness of my playing were deliberately executed.

So, i got 2-3 warning windows.

Then I stopped playing. Thankfully my mouse is broken and at the same time I was not able to make my demo lock to function. 500 rounds in ss, 50% wins still 1200 rating.

Such a tragic waste…

Flaming in chat - ban.
Been entire season 2 df as ele bot in shuffle - yeah, no problem, you don’t chat, that’s your r1, you can even sell your account!

And on top of that there was evidence against this bot live on stream

Harshest of crimes = using chat = confirmed.

That’s how modern gaming companies works, and I feel like it has a lot to do with politics…

But flaming and emotional reactions in all kinds of competitions, pvp games or real sport, are normal.
Hardly restricting this is against the human nature itself.

Come on, the punishment should match the crime, and if you abuse chat somehow the only thing that is logically justified is ban from chatting. Very sad that blizzard went down to this.
