Not really, from asking around, people swiped early in classic, when their alternative was jump run spamming or other slow farm methods. When players started doing gbid and gdkp they swiped less as they had the income they needed from just playing the game.

There is no reason for tons of gold in Vanilla and if you don’t want to play the game, it’s a you problem anyway.

I have loads of raiding chars, and no one doing GDKP (there is no GDKP on PvE servers)

Because you save up gold pumping on your BIS geared main to gear up your alts with quickly.

GDKP on your healer alt to fund buying gear and consumes on your blaster warrior, and then someone else’s healer gets the gold you spend and does the same.

You see, I started playing WoW when the HC servers released. I really liked the game, altho I would never play it out of HC. And so, for a year playing WoW Classic HC I got a lil bored with the Classic balance and, well, content. So, having fresh server to progress to TBC would have been really awesome for me. But, for some unknown reason you decided to make another HC server that’s the same as others and to split playerbase. That’s such a stupid idea. Make fresh HC progress to TBC. Otherwise, I can’t even imagine how bad that decision is.
I even logged to the bloody forum to make my first message here. Just make TBC HC, don’t be silly. Or drop the idea of a fresh at all, which will not happen, obviously.

For those wanting TBC HC…
You peaople ARE aware that HC was originally not a Blizzard sacntioned mode with extra servers at all, but something you simply did of your own volition?
So, what´s to stop you from simply playing HC on a non HC realm like everybody else has been doing for years? The only person you´re cheating by not leaving a dead char dead is yourself, after all…
I´m glad they have HC servers that enforce those rules for those that want it, but I honestly on some level still can´t believe they actually created dedicated servers for it, as it worked just fine before, with or without the addon.

Soo the wording is super weird here, unless they actually mean that you can only transfer to a PvE (normal?) server from the Hardcore server?? Currently you can go to a PvP server. So I imagine its just bad wording but does anyone know?
Idk why do I even need to explain this, since I’m a new player in WoW and you must be not. But when playing on HC servers, you can use auction and you know that everything there is looted and selled by HC players, you can occasionally party up and do quests together. That’s a giant part of the game. Having HC addon restricts you to mostly SSF.
So, you really think I’ll believe you didn’t know this? Then why are you upset with HC players talking about HC servers here?

And I don’t understand why now I apparently have to explain the concept of self-control and making your own decisions about how to play the game, yet here we are.
Again, everything you do on any HC server, with the exception of Mak’gora for ears or “easy” HC-party grouping with random unknowns, can be done on any PvE (or if you´re really crazy PvP) realm. HC was a thing before HC servers or for that matter even Classic realms existed, people have been playing HC, Ironman HC (no gear that´s not grey or white) and HCSSF of their own volition since at least OG TBC.
And they didn´t need server-side restrictions just to keep them from lying to themselves about not dying, not using the AH, etc. And if they wanted to party up, they did it with like minded friends, instead of relying on notoriously unreliable and untrustworthy PuGs and risking some troll wiping the grp on purpose. 
But these days everything has to be a solo player expience with serverside hand- holding just to make sure people don´t break their own rules… 
The only person that thinks I´m upset is you. Why that is? I honestly couldn´t care less.
I merely gave a simple solution to the “problem” of not having TBC HC realms for those that would like to do so, as the chance that Blizzard will open HC TBC realms in addition or progress the HC realm to TBC is close to zero as it currently stands. No More, no less.
