I just started a topic for the new Earthshaker server. If there is no paid transfer, if me and/or other people happen to start a nice enough realm community, iāll probably go there to avoid the retarded APES

i didnt say you wasnt attached to either. However you are clearly more attached to an ingame character than playing with your friends. if it bothers you that much and you want transfers yet wont forget about a low level character to play with your friends.
The crying here is amazing. If your friends rerolled and you didnāt then thatās your own fault. Blizz needs to control where people transfer to avoid queue on other servers.
To be honest Iād rather reroll on a new server if I ever āneed toā, moving characters and renaming seems kind of impersonal and against the spirit of things. No emotional connection to the server at all if you will. I moved many chars after me to move wherever friends played over the years to the point I donāt even know where they are and what their names are. 
Iād say transfer should only be available, paid or not, if it is critically important (queues like now) as a workaround to a problem that cannot be solved otherwise.
Btw there should be no streamer realms where streaming isnāt allowed to ensure thereās a place for normal people to play.

Is it really such an outlandish position to want to keep your character AND play with your friends? We fundamentally disagree if you consider that to be the case. Hopefully Blizzard does not.

because presumably Blizzard is concerned that Judgement and Bloodfang are going to end up with low populations.
Server migration on retail has always been about increasing population of low-pop servers rather than reducing population of high-pop servers.

It all comes out to how much you value your time spent. Is your life worth more than your friends? Will your friends be there if you had no life? They would but not be your friends - so yea the time spent on a character is for most people worth just as much as playing with friends.
jesus christ thats a bit deep for a character on a game that is only just over a week old.
if you take things that seriously and care for it that much then i suggest you seek professional help
That varies for each person. If I spent 1 week on my job and had to do it all over both me an my company would be very upset.
If you donāt value your life and time spent more than what you imply - one would suggest that you should be the one talking to a shrink <3
You are not the only one having an oppinion on this and other might value their time spent more than playing with friends.

Iām in the same boat. We have friends on Shazzrah but my family rolled on Dreadmist because we actually wanted to play the game rather than stare at a queue of 12,000 people. Weāre all going to have to re-roll once thereās room on Shazzrah.
