This character represents an investment of time. An investment of time that I do not want to see lost if it can be avoided. Iâve invested X hours, I do not want to see go them go to waste if it can be helped. The problem is very simple to understand.
Because judgement was made for people who wanted fresh start and now all the lvl 60âs will turn up to spoil the party, althought judgment is a dead server anyway.
It is not, and Blizzard should know this. Theyâve always spoken about how important communities are in this game.
I woudnât say that it was made for fresh start, but that was certainly one of the big reasons for people to reroll from queues.
I can see why blizzard are moving people there though, the server is dead and needs more people to fill it
Hello, I started on a server PVP in the horde, I had to change server because too much waiting but I passed PVP alliance.
Do you think Iâll be able to migrate my horde character to the alliance server ? i mean i have to migrate and change faction.
I wouldnât call it dead. It was dead on the launch day. But yesterday it was more than alive. And itâs much more closer to the population of the original vanilla than Shazzrah.
Thereâs two reasons for Blizzard adding new realms later on. Reason being that theyâre aware a good chunk of the players will quit Classic for various reasons. (not their kind of gameplay / nothing much to do after 60 besides endgame content and pvp⊠Etc.) and in order to keep a solid community, people are required. This will save them the trouble of merging dead realms together, which can be good/bad depending who you ask.
Second reason is that itâs quite difficult to guess what number of players will actually start playing Classic beforehand. The numbers can be somewhere between 200k - x millions
They couldâve easily opened 50 realms but if in the long term 30 realms end up being dead you would have broken communities everywhere.
I am 99% sure you wonât be able to change faction. Especially in vanilla where you have a situation with shamans and paladins.

So i ll delete my 31 level character cause i cant play on a server, and i change server and faction⊠that suck
No one makes you delete your character, you can return to playing it later when queues would cool down.

That is completely untrue. They didnât even need layering. They chose this mess. Easy solution: I will explain for pvp only (rest would be the same system). They make 50 - 100 servers (way more than required) and they have them split into 2 or 4 groups. Across a group no person or guild can have the same name. As servers drop in active population you merge them. No name changes, no guild changes, your community is 100% intact with a new community added on. It solves literally every problem, except that your server name will change over time (but who cares what the name is). You would never need to change name, guild, you canât layer or phase. This was the easy fix, blizzard chose the hard way and now we have one of the worst launches I have ever experienced (I missed D3 launch). This system would have made launch queueless, efficient, everyone could have played with friends, they would not be stressing about removing layering (it would not exist).
