I hate the new models, hate the look of the world in retail, and have my graphics settings permanently on ‘Classic mode’.
But I wouldn’t care if Blizzard implemented an optional toggle. Why would I? It’s optional, I wouldn’t need to use them if I didn’t want to.
You have them in the optional included for free bfa. Go there.

Yeah… except BFA is a completely different game. Do try to come up with a stronger argument than ‘lulz go 2 bfa noob’. It adds nothing to the discussion.
Optional models and textures are not harmful at all, and will enchance a lot of people’s experience. Appearance changes, name changes and server transfers should also be included. They are services people want and that don’t harm gameplay.
Don’t tell me people can ninja. If you put someone on your ignore list there’s no reason why a name change would take them off your ignore list. Ninjas would soon be screwed. Also, there are plenty of ninjas about right now and most players do nothing about it when it’s not their item that’s been ninjas. Take a look at yourselves and how you can help the problem.

Lets keep those differences, rather than have every BFA hipster come and try to add their flavour to classic.
Egoistic asses whine about somebody wants a patch to have possibility to turn on updated model textures which will be visible only to a person turning it on and off. Crazy. Get wiser mentally please, if you dont like it, dont use it and skip the thread
If i ve played on unofficial TBC datadisk (because it last best DLC) We changed some libraries in client and we have new models from Draenor in TBC . Its just only on player if he want new or old character models. Game doesnt make diferrences if u dont change WORLD textures but only character model witch bettr resolution. Server just moving ur character on numbers place, fast, front view, high and what u wear. Thats all and player see only textures. I think its doesnt matter what you see on monitor. In future it will be nice have to choose new or old models…
And i need to ask… Its any chance play oficial classic with new characters models? please? 
If you want retail graphics then go back to retail.
It’s classic so will stay with vanilla graphics.
The new character models are bad. One of the worst graphical updates to the game. I don’t want them wasting their time porting that to Classic.

Classic models all day every day! The new models aren’t too bad but the animations are horrific!!
Even tho I’m for #NoChanges, since this would not mess up the game on my side and it would be optional for everyone, I guess it is not a bad idea, it would bring even more players to Classic who may have shy away from it because of the old graphics (to be honest the game looks and plays better already than it did on my ooolllld PC so I’m happy with it as it is but I understand the younger generation haveing hi end PCs want best graphics from every game.)
I would be happy if the download of this “patch” could stay optional since I like it that currently WoW Classic is only 4,4 GB and If I never use the Hi Retail graphics I really don’t need and extra 20 or 30 GB space taken on my drive for no rason!
I actually love the animation and graphics in retail wow , it’s the only thing that’s good in the game atm.
And I would love to see it in classic.
