How many players can a realm support? What are the layering sizes and how many layers does the servers hold?
Only 2 Germans realms? Not even a single pair of my Lederhosen will fit there! TBH Hydraxian Waterlords?
But yeah, at least we will be able to play Classic again

My first realm was Ragnaros, then I transferred to Sylvannas.
Shazzrah and Golemagg feels like a huge down-grade.
I am sure we will only see High or Locked.

Tbh i would’nt mind even more boring names than that, if it was released a bit earlier. So much hype for it ! Who cares about names anyway
I think that people overestimate WoW Classic, of course a lot of people will attend to play WoW classic the couple week/months, after that period when the tourists leave the game servers will have max 3k-5k constant players playing it.
I think blizzard is making less servers at launch to check how many player will attent, of course they have a few spare servers ready for when things go out of control and queues are to long. But they rather make less servers to start with then start with to many servers and be left with dead servers after a couple week/months.
Personally i dont mind the less servers, like i mentioned i also rather have busy servers with the full Wow Vanilla Experience then dead servers where its even hard to find a group for a couple of dungeons e.t.c.
I think blizzard did a great job with the whole WoW Classic preparation/launch.
And for those complaining about the servernames??? Why would you even bother, like you will sit for hours looking at a servername??
It’s just a name, just hardcore play the game you guys fell in love with in 2004 and stop complaining about Blizzard.
Due to Blizzard we will all be able to re-experience the best game in the world all over again!

While I agree that quantity of English realms for PVP are very lacking, there are few things to consider. First of all layering technology they will implement for the classic launch to avoid ridiculous flow of players on day one (before you start ranting - this feature is going to be temporary! at most it will hold until phase 2)
And of course, there are those character name reservations. For many of players this is just opportunity to reserve the name but for Blizzard its an opportunity to also monitor how many players are actually going to stay on the realm and change/add things accordingly. There is high possibility that there could be more realms added within the period from 13th august to 27th august.

Is it TODAY 22.00-00.00 GMT time
Or is it Tomorrow ?
I’m confused as different sites state different times…

In the UK the name reservation will be at 11:01pm today (Monday), CEST time is +1 hour from UK

Thats today 22pm UTC. But since its summer… britain, ireland and portugal have UTC+1 so 23pm for them. Rest of the europe have UTC+2 so midnight for the rest.

It would have been less confusing if they just used the 24hour clock instead of 12 hour clock.
12AM is 00:00
So for the UK it will be 11pm / 23:00 on the 12th
For western EU it will be 12AM / 00:00 which will make it the 13th

EU (European Union) ≠ Europe
EU, in this context/wow servers) refers to Europe in general not to an politic/economic organization.
Europe extends to the Urals and west part of Turkey and has almost 750M hab.
I dont know how many are interested in wow classic, but in a reddit survey almost 5k answered that will play in shazzrah and 3,5k in Golemagg. This numbers are more than enough to form two servers per si and that in a reddit survey, that probably only reach a tiny tiny percentage of the people that will play the game.
