Because a thing like “server pride” exists, I personally don’t care but a lot of people do as you can see. And that’s not the only reason, another one I can think of for example is people not wanting to say some names all the time, especially pvp players who are limited to 2 pretty bad ones.

Not sure how we’re supposed to just pick another one when there are just two realms to chose from, no. 
What if all realms of a type/language is full, will you add a server of that type/language then?

This might be enough in the long run, but I have doubts when I see two pve AND pvp. I would imagine that there would be a greater demand for pvp servers in the beginning.
Comparing it to NA is a little wrong though since we have more language specific realms in EU so it would look like NA got it better.
PS! I don’t give a sh** about the names. It’s a non-issue IMO.

A lot of people want to rp, in their own language, too!
Shall we all talk in our own language (german, french, etc.) on the englisch servers or let our rp get destroyed on normal servers by people who don’t care?

With only 2 servers there is no way we will see Layering only used in the early days of Classic. This is basically ensuring we will effectively be stuck with multi layer servers functioning like server clusters. Vanilla wasn’t about server clusters Blizzard…

all names are un-inspired… the names are literally locations, boss & faction names… and the amount of servers… this is going to ruin it for most due to streamers and they cannot be avoided now…

i dont understand why people complain about 2 pvp servers eu or 2 german servers.
My prediction was
1 PVE EU
1PVP EU
1 RP EU
1 PVP DE
1 PVE DE
…
so my prediction was good.
Everything is better then like retail where you have 20.000 servers and rarely find a person on the same server then you.
Also we had 4 servers for COMPLETE EU yesterday, and it worked pretty well. Only the first hour where we had 2 servers was an issue.
And since French, German (Switzerland, Austria, Netherland, Belgium) and RU people got their own server, like 50% of the EU is already split.
So you got 2 PVP servers for UK, Spain, Italy and some other countries. is that enaugh? Yes!

Why are people so salty about the server names? Like who cares what they’re called.
Main issue to me is the lack of servers, I think there should be more. And why are there no Spanish, Portuguese or Italian servers? 
Add at least 1 of each server type for those languages, and 2 more English-speaking realms and it may be fine…
