has anyone made a disabled friendly guild on any EU server…or would any one be interested in joining or starting one… ready for TBC
What does disabled friendly mean exactly? I dont think most people really care if guild members are disabled. Im sure there are exceptions to that tho…
Although I admire you for attempting this and a person with cronic Crohn’s diesese which in itself is a disability, I’m not sure segregation is the way to go.
Ahh I think i had better explain. I suffer a disability that affects my hands so that makes playing wow challenging but I do OK…I have been playing since the original launch lol but mainly solo because teaming up in groups to do dungeons has always been a nightmare because everyone wants to rush through them and I could slow some down. I can do them ok but have had some comments in the past from idiots…all I was wondering if there are other people like myself who would be interested in forming a guild
At first I thought the post was silly, wondering why someone’s disabilities should be the commonality in guild relations, but after your last post I can totally see why you might feel more comfortable with a guild like the one you suggest.
I really hope you find somewhere, if you don’t you’re always welcome with us on Gandling and playing content slowly with a few drinks is kinda our thing
Thanks buddy
You just need a friendly ol’ dad guild and there are plenty of those around.
Find a dad guild. They give you the best experience WoW Classic has to offer!
what’s a dad guild lol
Casual guilds of “dads”, i.e. (mainly) of adults with responsibilities and limited playtime, are generally more understanding if someone performs “poorly” in the game.
ahh ok thanks… do you know of any
You need to be able to deal with drunken situations, or be a drunken situation like me lol
Almost everyone has some form of disabilities, I don’t think a special guild for this is required. Just don’t play with the tryhard sweatlords and you should be fine ^^
How do you find them? Last week I went with one of my Priests to a last minute pug MC, I’m in full T2, BiS enchants had Brilliant Mana Oil, Mageblood Potion, and Nightfin Soup and was asked upon entry why I don’t have world buffs. For a pug that was being shouted for in world chat, not a scheduled run.
The sweat lords are everywhere.
I don’t think personally you need a Disabled players guild but just a casual raiding guild because casual raiding guilds are generally really helpful and understanding and accommodating to people for any situation.
Communicating what you can and can’t do within your disabilities goes a long way and most people are gonna understand that. In retail I raided with a healer who was blind in one eye and almost fully blind in the other and when it came to the Mekkatorque fight in BoD we had to accomodate her by basically letting her piggy back the fight and just do what she could and we cleared it every time despite her only working at half capabilties.
I’ve drawn this out longer than intended by quick and easy just talk to your raid lead if you join a casual guild and it’ll all work out.
