The xbox youtube channel released a video recently https://youtu.be/RiLh5SAwBNE
with hints at the end of the video that wow might be coming to xbox with the wow achievement popup turning into the xbox achievement popup.
Xbox in the comments replying to “Put the games on Xbox already!” with “Now you’re getting it.”
Meanwhile on the recently released 2025 war within roadmap the timeline bar turns green at the end of 2025. https://static.icy-veins.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/wow-retail-roadmap-2025.webp
if it does I hope theres an indication that shows people are on console so we can automatically filter them out of our group. Crossplay was a mistake in most games.
95% of console/controller players in FFXIV are already absolute dregs and always bring down the groups. On the level of clickers and keyboard turners most of them.
Legion was the perfect time to put it on consoles… now we are back to spell bloat I doubt it and also they would need to redo the entire game to get it too run on both Xbox and PS… I doubt Blizzard would want that trouble for little pay off.
That would be inconsistent with the overall chart. Being an event it would have been displayed in the columns, just as it was in 2024 as “Timerunning: Pandamonium”
i did .its either xbox gamepass or the game coming to xbox app for cloud integration .you can already play the game on cloud on nvidia geforce now .so its probably coming on xbox cloud too .
nothing to do with console release
Then why did the xbox account reply the way it did, why the green on the roadmap.
The sub being shared with game pass would not be consistent with their other mmo, ESO. “Now on xbox cloud gaming” is not worth displaying prominently on Blizzard’s roadmap and a feature that probably no one wants. Unlike to what the comment section on every xbox video with wow on it is asking for.
again xbox is just not console .they have xbox for pc pass ,xbox cloud .if it was a console release they would had announced it on warcraft 30 anniversary video . you are just speculating out of thin air .
My thoughts are every time I watch game footage made by a console player, the camera accuracy and reaction speed reminds me of myself when I was 8 and learning how to use the mouse.
WoW has way too many buttons and too high difficulty for that audience. The best you might get is a special event-like game such as plunderstorm, but having console players in M+ or raids is just…LoL.
You can map 64 buttons on the controller if I remember correctly. Also I used a controller to pick up the achievement in ToT junping the fountains x amount of times (hum!) So there is certainly no issues with accuracy there.
With that said I couldnt care less if it goes console or not. Who knows, maybe it would actually be a good thing?
And I’m saying it was on the chart. Porting it to console is a huge endeavour that takes several years and several delays. It’s an evergreen (pun intended) feature that’s why it’s on the horizontal timeline [sometime late winter or maybe sooner] and not in a column as remix was/would be. “Now on xbox game pass”, “now on xbox cloud gaming”, “now with xbox achievements on pc” doesn’t warrant a year+ long heads up, when that happens we’ll know 2 months beforehand. And again, xbox said via comment section that [warcraft serries] is coming to xbox, considering what the people want, considering the wow achievement popup then the xbox popup, considering we are on the 30th anniversary, considering the roadmap chart and what’s actually a sound financial decision… which one is more likely?
“that’s work so they won’t do it”
There would be addons out very quickly to test if the player is on console, what ffx14 can’t have. Can’t expect console players to get too far competitively anyway.
I wouldn’t mind a fresh influx of new casual blood.
