WoW "Console" confirmed

Good news.

Oh, that explains why they switched Microsoft Office to Ribbon style tools from the traditional menu and toolbars back in the day. They were preparing the suite to be able to run in a console in 2027 or whatever the year they release that … PC?

I wonder one thing… if you have a Windows in a Xbox, and you can install almost everything, even PlayStation PC games, according to Windows Central, a site NOT affiliated with Microsoft… then why not install… I don’t know… one program that downloads addons maybe!

In fact, the new API restrictions makes playing with controller more difficult, because ConsolePort added functions to use the UI from a controller and right now it’s broken because the mentioned API restrictions.

“But they’re making all classes with 4 buttons because a controller doesn’t have enough buttons to fit all skills. How you’re going to fit all skills in a Xbox controller when there’s only A B X Y buttons”

You’re missing that you can do combinations with the triggers, for example, adding more buttons. You can use the top buttons and you have 6, then trigger combinations and you already have 24 buttons. (LT, RT and LT+RT), like you can do with a keyboard and shift and ctrl and shift + ctrl.

There’s even people NOW doing things with controllers in WoW, and maybe the hardest thing is mythic raid healing, because you need to use the pad to move between unit frames, but even that is possible.

I though they make it work with current Xbox X but have to wait then If it only comes to next gen

GL HF.

you pull a pack of 20 in m+
the console player has to scroll through 20 mobs to kick the mob

kick misses as he took too long.

m+ group disbands after the wipe.

  • welcome to WoW console players

I’m not familiar with consoles. Would it be able to handle the graphics and load of WoW?

so many people are getting baited by a clickbait article. maybe you guys really need your addons after all

next “Xbox” is a PC…

consoles have always just been a cheap pc like 450£ cheap.

Dunno, but if you plan to make pc games to run on a console which uses controller mainly, then surely the games u also own/develop, have to make that way too.

I personally dont think this is the “massive” change what wow needs.

end of the day if someone is on a controller,
the pc player will have an advantage

so PVP will be interesting.

What’s the massive change you think it needs?

controller players are already in the level of keys you play and you dont even know it.

I Hope Blizzard gives pc and console players a little icon to differentiate each other.

Age of Empires 4 has it exactly this way, why should wow be any different?

EDIT Are they the same guys or not, AoE and WoW? I am not sure now

Well we won’t be able to track kicks anyway so you’ll never find out who it was that missed it.

Also for some reason my quotes stopped working and it’s annoying the crap out of me.

XBox already has K+M support.

I’m optimistic about opening the game to a new audience but I’m also very concerned about the consequences that this will have on endgame content.

I’m really hoping (coping?) that Blizzard makes Midnight a good expansion, because otherwise I might seriously consider dropping the game.
