WoW download stuck on "initializing"

The internet connection, speed-wise isn’t the issue here. Cause I cant download any games via launcher atm. Not Diablo nor Hearthstone… And blizz doesnt say anything about it. I’m so close to refund the heroic version…

If i take a look in the error-logs, my agent.exe is crashing like every 30 seconds…

Same here mate. I paid for the best edition but now I am considering challenging them for a full refund.

I’ve deleted the game 10 times, ended the agent updater in task manager, I’ve changed install directories and many, many other things from VPNs, to downloading Beta client to trying to download the USA version. Nothing has worked.

i think blizzard fell asleep today…

So no reply, no solution and no compensation… awesome way to start the new expansion!

I don´t know how but the update started after waiting over 48h and trying everything possible written on forums. Sadly i think that we should wait till it starts by himself. Never seen in my gaming experience such big problem and no support given, even in low quality f2p p2w games. I find this situation just so SAD and unpleasant regard those people that pay for a game and possibly a good assistance …

Small indie company?? didn’t know Activision was a small indie company?

Under the terms of the agreement, which would be expected to close by mid-2023 pending regulatory and shareholder approval, Microsoft would own Activision, Blizzard Entertainment, and King under the Xbox Game Studios brand.

I made a comparison between blizzard activision and other indie companies

Completely removing and then reinstalling battle.net, the game (including Classic) and all addons seems to have done the trick - took nearly an hour to download the game again but at least I was able to log-in and actually play.

Howdy everyone,

Just wanted to drop in and say the issue on our end has been resolved! If you are still having troubles it’s likely corruption in the app. Try reinstalling as previous players have stated above.

if you continue to have issues please open a new thread and submit a ticket for more pinpoint assistance.

Can confirm, having removed all games from Battle.net then reinstalling Battle.net, still doesn’t work.

i tried that… but it’s still the same issue/error (initializing loop), installing wotlk works fine… it’s just retail

from the AgentNGDP log:

Its still not working for me. I uninstalled Battlenet as well as WoW and addons. Tried a fresh install of WoW several times and to no avail. Battlenet installs no problem, its just the initializing loop when trying to download WoW

Exactly the same here . i’ve spent hours trying everything out there and nothing works

Still same issues… decided to open a ticket, because this is going nowhere.
Pretty pissed off I paid for early-access and cleared my schedule to be able to play and enjoy the game, while now I cannot do anything but sit and see the launcher update till infinity…

Yea very thankfull. Now i cannot even instal my battlenet app. When im instaling and trying change my folder it says “ups something went wrong and closind app” GG Blizz . Anyway if it helps to many players its not a solution

Are you for real? This isnt on your part?? Its still not working and you wont fix it? Gg refund DF

I had this problem too. It took deleting the wow folder entirely, uninstalling and reinstalling the Battlenet client, and finally reinstalling Retail to fix things. Very annoying.

Yeah I did this too… uninstalled Battle.net and all Blizzard games and reinstalled everything. That worked…
