WoW has probably the WORST open world monsters

You can quest with 1 hand, I see a major win there.

You must never have looked on the GW2 forum then.
People want the difficulty of the mobs from the start of the second expansion to return.

Dude.

In my experience from leveling multiple alts from vanilla through all expansions, is that the difficulty never played a role in itself.

Leveling is tedious no matter what they change. Leveling was fun in the beginning, and it has had ups and downs. But after leveling a lot, it becomes a chore because max level is where the real meat of the game lies.

If they make the mobs more difficult, I am going to tilt, because they tried this before, and we all thought it would be great, but it turns out it was just annoying.

To make leveling fun, they would need a completely different and innovative system.

You just level up to play the max level content, it is how these games work. The journey to this can’t stay fun for the 30th time you do it, by that time you just want it to be over fast, and making the journey more tedious is a bad idea.

I quit on WoD launch and came back in 8.1 and when levelling through BFA I thought rares would still be like that and I was super disappointed when they had no mechanics…

Difficulty should be proportionate to the reward. Currently, you don’t really get a reward for world content; why should it be challenging?

I’m not saying that I like it; I’m saying if you want it to be more challenging then it has to be rewarding. Blizz is failing at providing players meaningful rewards outside of Mythic raiding or high level M+ and I think that’s the biggest issue in wow. When you can get everything you want from M+ and raids, why would you bother with anything else? Blizz should offer BiS gear that is outside M+ and raids; some profession items; some currency/faction/rep thing, maybe some special consumables and maybe just all of those. Will this make raids easier? Maybe but maybe they should be easier if you farmed every BiS item and consumable.

Yes, give us our interrupts much sooner! I agree.

Yes, mobs should be more difficult and equally rewarding, but more difficult mobs wont make leveling more interesting. At least not for me. But the changes in leveling they do in SL might.

If Blizzard buffs world mobs people loose their minds and complain that things takes too long to kill.

If Blizzard nerf world mobs people also complain they’re too easy to kill and boring.

Damned if they do, damned if they don’t.

We need a mythic outdoor setting.
As in toggle like the PvP toggle or just straight up mythic realms

Wow is about endgame, deal with it. If you want to challenge yourself do challenging endgame content.

How is auto attacking something with your weapon because you are oom after frostbolting harder than actually having to use a rotation?

Jesus man stop, Classic has no difficulty. Its just tedious, not difficult. I had to turn it off after lvl 10 dying of autoattack boredom.

This group of old Classic players thinking Classic is hard to play starts to be funny.

You know what to do if mobs are more dangerous? You pull less mobs, oh gosh what an increadible skill …

I like it that way.
But to counter your point; there definitely ARE monsters that DO big damage and therefor feel threatening.

Gross hyperbole. Not everyone hates leveling alts.

Subjective. Plenty of people think they’re fun (I’m one of them).

Yes it is. But your fun =/= someone else’s fun.
You can’t expect a game to be catered to you and you alone.

Only once you’re geared and such… I clearly remember leveling up in BfA and having to make sure I didn’t pull unwanted stuff because otherwise I’d die (well, I’m a hunter so I’d feign death, but my point stands - I couldn’t handle too many).
Later in an expansion is different, yes, but imo that’s a good thing.

And making them deadly isn’t one of them; not for me.

The two aren’t mutually exclusive you know. It’s possible to both have challenging endgame content AND a world that offers at least some modicum of challenge.

Has op ever trying to kill currently expansion boss solo? Or kill rare elite solo in first day of expansion?

So many wrong things in this one sentence. :man_shrugging:

It feels like a chore when you have to have a 5 min fight with every single mob you come across. :upside_down_face:

It’s only a chore because the HP sponges that infest the world deal such negligible damage that you could play one handed with a blindfold on and still come out on top.

How would you feel about lowering the HP but buff the damage on em?

Not for levelling and dailies. I’d probably stop playing. I’m already worried at the current beta state of mobs. For bosses and things like that? Great, I expect to pay attention.

Just no. It’s fine as it is. It’s a game, not a competition. Many people play games to relax, not to have to focus 100% just to get by in the world. I don’t do dungeons because they take too much focus and it exhausts me. Leave the world mobs alone.
