With up to 45 minute queues, more often then not I’m alt tabbed while waiting for a queue to pop.
For this reason, it’s really frustrating how many queues I’ve missed because I’ve forgotten to check regularly. I never had this problem in retail because my WoW icon always flashed yellow when my queue popped. In classic, it doesn’t.
Anyone know how to make classic do this or know of any addon that will make my client do this?
Mine show up the warning? when i am doing something else, even when I get a /w or some sort of invite in wow it glows yellow/orange
I guess it is some sort of configuration that you might need to do
Turn on sound in the background and go idle somewhere quiet while waiting for BG.
The whole reason i’m alt tabbed is so I can watch videos and do other things. No good if I can hear WoW sound at the same time.
That’s why I said go somewhere quiet, disable music and ambience sound and then you can’t hear anything except the BG invite popping.
Surely you can take a 5-10 minute break from youtube or whatever when you know the time is near for the bg to pop? If not, you should have rolled alliance. Missing the popup is part of the classic experience, the feature you ask for was never there in vanilla.

Happening to me for last month so I get an addon for that. Simple.
use “queueflasher” from curseforge.

You can write an addon for this by automatically whispering yourself when the BG pops.
Happend to me today, altho i was lucky and the pop up was still waiting.
But usualy when i get a Whisper, Or atacked it glows.
Not when bg popped…lucky wpvp is needed for propper ranking annyways 
It glows for me for everything lol. I am on Windows 7 though.
Indeed tears off forums indeed. While You will be having irl tears from horde on your’s server ripping you second a$$hole tomorrow while waiting for 1 hour queues for av.
Best solution ?? get a second monitor crappy one and have wow on that.
Why so mad, is this little queues getting annoying?
