So many online games have inproved their game quality, Wow is still stuck with awfull Stormwind City 20% of it is upgraded, and grass etc outside the newer content is awful, however it should at least be a little darker at night, it still looks like daylight for me <_> I know it’s lame to complain about but it shouldn’t be that hard though. and does it even snow in zones near Christmas etc, just curious.
Step 1 - Buy inky black potion from BMF
Step 2 - Enjoy darker nights.
The potion works but… it wouldn’t hurt if Blizzard just made it actually darker again.
Gives cool atmosphere for all to enjoy.
I think adding proper weather effects should be included like snowstorms and thunderstorms on top of darker nights
Turn the brightness / gamma down. Like for real, try it. By default WoW is set to be very bright, but no one says it has to be.
You can make the game - and thus the nights - very dark and eerie if you want.
Absolutely, the defaults for those are too bright and bleached out color wise. Making the colors look washed out and things look too bright in general.
Do we have to go inside inns and drink a hot cup of cocoa every now and then if it’s cold outside so we don’t lose hp and lose speed on our attacks because our fingers are cold?
too expensive cant afford.
just give us a proper dark night!!
im lowkey sure they made nights brighter in classic too
Apart from cinematics, WoW doesn’t feel like a AAA big budget title anymore, that’s why we have so many presentation values being so low.
then again wow never was a AAA game to beging whit, heck Blizzard had no idea if it ever would even work out, one huge reason they major problems to give out enough servers in vanilla fast enough.
Just wear sunglasses you see darker.
Big yes to get darker nights back.
Big yes on this too. I also wish those weather effects would matter in game play wise. Brainstorming here so going bit nuts but here some examples:
- Rainstorm: water based spells more effective. Fire spells less effective.
- Thunderstorm: nature based spells (espcially lightning related) stronger.
- Snowstorm: frost spells more effective, freezing and slowing effects last longer. Roads would turn slippery.
- Fog: Visibility would go really low. Excellent opportunity for world pvp purposes but would also make plain questing more exiciting.
- Windstorm: it would be faster to move to the wind direction and slower against the wind.
Wouldnt just have to be debuffs, could have racials aka dwarfs walk faster on snow or smth lore related to races
Their was another thread, oh a couple of months back, saying the game is too dark at night.
Poor old Blizzard, they just can’t win
I love the idea, but it reminds me too much of the pokemon and how weather affects their performance.
Actually no, the nights in Azeroth should be bright, because it has two moons.
I’m sure you’ve seen how much a full moon can light up the sky at night- now imagine there’s two of them. They’re like giant reflectors.
I’d only agree, if they changed the day and night cycle to happen every few hours, instead of in real time. Because I’m sick and tired of working, coming home and playing WoW in permanent night mode.
This is great idea actually, 6 hours cycle would be enough, dunno how it would impact night elf racial though.
I dont want to use drugs to get an illusion of an actual darker night.
I want them to fix it or at least improve it
If only make it optional. I can not get if my tmog does work at nights right now, darker nights will make it even harder.
