Hello, Can we already get the new models Blizzard has redone over the years on Classic as an option? And I mean all of them, from wolves to Gnolls to character ones. Also the option would be turned off by default and only if you want you ll turn it on.
A lot of people suggested this already, and I think that at some point they were going to do it, but there was a lot of pushback, because an optional visual change, with no changes to the gameplay whatsoever, bothers the #nochange folks and the classic andys
You don’t mean those horrible retail race models with terrible animation right?

That would mean that the devs would have to put in work, my guess is that if they put them in they wouldnt be optional seeing as they havent been optional in retail since WoD
And make all servers crash once again. That was tried. I don’t think Blizz is up the work it’ll take to make this optional, and they are no way ready to take the loss of subs that only new models would cost them.
I haven’t seen this anywhere else, when was it tested?
I don’t remember exactly, either a PTR or live as it was implemented. But as it crashed the game for everyone it was scrapped - fast. I feel WoD vibes thinking of it … but long time ago, and I missed the old models every day til I quit Retail.
This was already in the game in WoD, and Legion I believe. After some time it got taken off
I like the majority of retail models but they look awful in the vanilla-wotlk gear. At least in classic it fits.
Yes … tinking back — it had something to do with Demon hunters … maybe. I now think the toggle was in for a while, but was removed around end of WoD. I so wish Blizz would have left their old pages, patchnotes etc. up somewhere after the rewamp of their site.
I love the new ones and I dont believe I am alone in saying that I dont care about the old clothes. I still wear old gear as T-mog in Retail and dont really mind there too
I wouldn’t mind either way but I can understand the arguement for them staying. There are some benefits too - for instance, my current face is my favourite for female night elves but in the retail upgrade I don’t like it. So, I am quite happy to have my old face!
