I remember a time when getting BIS gear was terribly difficult and only a few people on the server had it. Crafting took the same amount of time for everyone because at that time it was very disadvantageous to risk a perma ban for buying gold. Some classic, wotlk blizzlike servers are actually simulating this. The items obtained from the last bosses of the raid were legendary and famous among players and the most powerful of all. The others were equally low because there was nothing higher.
And everyone was happy. Not only did everyone achieve their goal and in the end they didn’t even forget the main boss, but some wonderful team got out of difficult tasks… gradually mechanics started to be added to the game until one day it occurred to me. How about spoiling the whole thing and adding a token to the game that gives people gold? And how about spoiling it even more and making people slaves who will have to play slowly for a similar amount of time a day as I work in order to get a piece of “rare” items that will completely improve their overall damage and statistics … and how about adding hundreds of such items to the game and thousands and increase their values every other week so that people do not stop playing because they will feel that they are losing something.
I remember when the classic came out again …and by that I mean the classic that a person is able to sign up for even today. I was in the dungeon where I got the axe. She had a name and half of the server knew that name. Everywhere I went people were saying WoW he has THAT axe!
People wrote to me where I got THAT ax and how long it took and that they would like one like that too.
I was terribly happy.
She lasted me ten levels.
I was glad that I didn’t have to walk around the world of Azeroth with a different ax every week and that it had its value.
And when I look at Retail… it makes me sad how the community that loved the game so much let it like this…

Also, what about Venruki’s video? That’s all R1 guys up there, I’d say around same skill level. How is the #1 guy with less enchantments even #1? Coincidence? Luck? Or… ?

That player power is behind gold that you can also easily farm.

Which I got to get these stones to recraft my PvE neck.
In fact I still don’t have lvl 3 enchants on my Evoker. I got lvl 2 on my chest, level 1 (bronze lol) on my legs and even bronze on rings. I just got neck today because I felt like it. I logged out in my PvP gear so you can watch at how op it is.

You don’t understand that you won’t win if you pay. You even admitted it yourself that skill matters more while Venruki is showing you how the R1 players, basically on same skill level, don’t care about the best enchants, gems etc and are still successful. That’s a fact and you can’t say anything against that.
Go and tell the #1 guy to stop being #1 because he forgot to p2w

I am talking about people on the same skill level. You said a player with more enchants will ALWAYS win, on same skill level. This is evidently wrong.
I also told you it’s wrong on my skill level. It’s just always wrong. You just fail to understand how placement games and MMR works, while you btw still didn’t post with your main. Why you hiding?
