It’s boring. Affixes that change the dungeon are good, they just need to be done properly. Like bolstering was awful
I can barely keep up with everything and you want it faster. lol
Barrely what ?
A raid with 4 difficulties that once you complete the 1st you go on second and repeat the fight with 1 extra ability from the boss and some % increase from Lfr-normal-hc-mythic ??
The current model is 3 Raids per expansion…
The Perfect model was Tbc-Wotlk.
6-7 raids per expansion
Tbc Casuals had their content . Karazhan . Zul Aman , badge system , t4 and the profession system was the Best .
Wotlk ?
10- man ??? 25 man ?? 10 man hc after with 25 man hc being the peak ? Plenty of raids to redo due the gear .
I apoligize but the current model is dumb@ for people that enjoy ctrl+c and ctrl+v with no character growth or actual progress.
Lol you can’t even get a trinket in 3 months
I’m fine with it as it is now (though I don’t do M+ or raid), I have plenty of alts to play so appreciate the extra time available. I’d rather they dump Season 4 and give us new expack every 18 months.
I would hate for a season to be that short. Prefer the current format by far.
I think the current pace of seasons is fine. I have time to reach my PvE and PvP goals. I can also play alts casually, farm some mogs and do some other things without feeling like I’m missing out on the season.
Personally the length of the seasons has never bothered me, it gives me time to catch up on stuff, level and gear alts, take a breather. The idea of 3 month seasons already gives me stress lol.
At the same time I think both Jito and Annaconda point out issues where the criticisms are fair. I’m wondering if not so much more content, as perhaps different pacing might help. If you’d break up raids in 2 chapters per 6 month season, and have the new world content patch around that time too, I could see how that might revitalise a season.
I have no idea where that’d leave M+ tho. Give it the same treatment, or just leave it as it is?
My experience, way back, the roster boss is the biggest issue rather than the length of time. With the player base maturing I’d probably say the roster boss is at mythic difficulty now for most guilds.
Indeed the quality would suffer. There’s also the amount of content. We’d have smaller raids - Blizzard is not going to provide more content, we’d just have yearly expansions. We’d pay more for less content. More than we do now.
I play d4 and i can tell you that 3 months of season in that game is too long
Op is probably confusing ffxiv with wow lol.and even ffxiv now has more months before new season and content comes
In 2010 you had far more choice in guilds and was much easier to find a new faster progressing one. Today not so much.
True many people play many different games. While back in the days WoW was thriving and the cities were flooded with people. Wish they could releases seasonal content faster and bring people back
I think 6 months is perfect.
We are all adults now. We have more responsibility than years ago.
People need time to get to do the stuff they want.
The idea sounds reasonable at first glance…
However: Bosses would have to drop (at least) 2x as much loot to keep the speed of gearing up for raiders the same, unless forcing them to run even more M+ for gearing /upgrading than is already the case is the intent, which would not sit well with many, myself included…
Furthermore, even with a stronger difficulty climb from boss 1-4 to keep a similar level ov overall challenge (which could present it´s own can of worms if more casual people can´t get past the second boss until they´ve killed teh first 4-5 times… then there´s the implications 4 boss raids would have on teh great vault after that), the raid would become so short that it wouldn’t even feel like it´s worth setting aside a raid night for it, or the boss fights would have to be 20+ minutes each (which I personally would welcome, but there are some very good reasons epic but long fights like Kael Thas, Illidan, and Arthas no longer exist in the game)
To be honest, if going forward raids had 4 bosses and the fights were a similar lengh to today, one of 2 things would happen… if it´s a .5 patch but the same season with regard to m+ rewardfs like mount and ports, I´d unsub for the first 3 months of every season and come back when the whole raid is open and not just the antechamber, or if we´re just getting a completely new season and 4 boss tier every 3 months, I´d find something useful to do with my life
Yeah that thought crossed my mind, it makes perfect sense I think that’s the difficulty with it all, if it feels pointless people will not enjoy the wait. It’ll probably just be experienced as more gatekeeping, and the season only really starting when all the content is available.
Do you see solutions for this situation? Is there something where you feel it’d revitalise a season halfway enough to stimulate people to return and partake in group content again?
I do think Blizzard tries with their smaller patches during a season, with new content, catch up gear and systems that have the potential to somewhat nerf the existing content. And yet the roster issues Annaconda described with their raiding team are hardly unique or extraordinary, I’ve seen more guilds struggle with this.
I’m not sure whether it’s caused by a change in mentality of the players, which would make it perhaps inevitable, or if it’s something caused by the game itself.
Speaking from my own bubble, I don´t see a need for a solution becasue I´m fine with the cadence = there is no problem to solve. 2 months to clear heroic is a hint slow for my tastes, but 4 months of farm /alts / grabbing achievements with a .5 and .7 in between to move the story forward feels fine to me, not everything in life always has to be a race. and I´m personally not experiencing any sort of participation dropoff, we´re still fielding 2 20 man raids.
what kind of bs is this haahaha ofc if u only play 1 hour a week its almost impossible all my alts already has One of their BiS trinkets.
We havent even got rid of conq cap in pvp yet or finished gearing our characters. The season is far from over.
Running an instance 70 times + is stupid. After 5 runs it should drop.
