Alright, As we have this huge question what will happen to our characters if and when the Tbc servers comes up, Blizzard use your brain on this question and please dont force me to chance my characters as i have created them from the pieces you’ve given.
First of all, Keep the classic servers up, no matter what.
Second, Please consider this that if you choose the idea that our characters are FORCED to the Wow burning crusade servers and still keep the classic servers that makes people as me insecure of our accomplishements and not trusting your company because if you choose to host up a WoTLK servers the history most likely will repeat itself and then you again FORCE my characters to the WoTLK servers, That means i will truly enjoy the TBC as you relase the “staying” servers of them as i will not be playing WoTLK and expansion after that and my level 60 characters just shipping trought the expansions.
My solution is that either give us a solid copy of our character without leaving classic, make us starts again from 1 or CHOOSE to transfer or not.
You do know the people who matter will never see this post, and did you really need to make another new thread, do the rules of the forums mean nothing to you?
Idk, many whine, enjoy classic while its classic, there’s many time yet to play classic to complete it fully.
I’m personally all up for Blizzlike way of classic into TBC and implementing somehow the Dualspec into TBC, which will improve the game overall and make it more enjoyable. Other points would like to remain as it was back then.
You can’t really say you want your characters remain on mostly dead stagnated classic realms, i had this experience on Feenix classic. As a result - Naxx stagnated server of classic completely died with the release of hyped Nostalrius
Classic will not never be totally dead, for the first year it might be quiet there but after the year and TBC hype calming there will be the players for it too, some pvp servers some pve and 1 pvprp and 1 rp, all of them would have 1-3 core guilds that can clear whole content etc but as i was reading topic about the discussion of this i found this solution which seems very good to my ears even it is not the one id prefer made by Ajaxandriel:
The solution have been given on another thread already. (Sorry but yours is flawed.)
Clone each existing Classic server. One clone stays as perpetual Classic. The other one evolves into BC.
No problem of transfers between servers Classic->BC or BC->Classic, because they’re not allowed, this way.
No problem of forcing people to disband guilds and be torn apart between Classic and BC servers. Both would be playable (the play time would be the only limit).
No problem of “economy” about cloning player-characters individually, because the whole server is cloned. So everyone stays the same , each side.
Thing is, not many people will play for real the perpetual classic. Can be tested but it’s all up to blizz ofc.
I don’t think a small indie-company will allow itself to use additional server capabilities for potentially dead servers But won’t argue, time will show.
All i need personally is dual spec implemented in TBC and my chars/all i earned during classic saved or transferred as it was back then.
I imagine most servers will migrate to TBC but they will keep 1 or two servers open to remain in classic with the option to transfer your character there for free
Have you even looked up Blizzard’s survey? None of the options involve a forced transfer to TBC, even if current servers were to be progressed to TBC you’d still get the opportunity to transfer to a perpetual Classic server.

The point is that by forcing the characters from wow classic to the TBC will make me insecure of my TBC characters also might forced to move to the WoTLK and i can only start enjoying the TBC since the might up coming WoTLK servers are up, If you get my point.
They have stated nowhere that any char is being forces anywhere, and TBC has not been confirmed yet so you have literally no reason to believe anything will happen after classic.
But won’t argue, time will show.
