Don’t forget Age of Conan, Lord of the Rings , BDO and Bless online and I am sure there are others I have forgot. As well as the upcoming Ashes of Creation and New World.
People love to prophesie about the death of WoW but it is still one of the biggest games in the world (in a much more competitive space then when it started)
the type of people which hang around here actually think a mobile wow would be a good thing.
they are the type of people who throw their underwear up on stage at blizzcon.
i think im pretty much done with wow now … i have given it far more chances than i should of at this point. there is no reason to play it anymore. its just not a fun game anymore
I’ve always fancied the idea of mobile (as in mobility) gaming since I travel for a living and am rarerly comfortably at home at my desk.
I got a laptop and a suitcase desktop setup I use if I need to do some serious guild event/raiding stuff but even that get quite cumbersome and I’d love for just being able to slap up my phone and do some vidya.
But to say that most android games are nothing but cheap cashgrabb ad platforms is a real understatement.
There are some “full size” games on the store such as GTA San Andreas, SWKotOR and Baldurs Gate. But the selection is limited and the port from pc to android aint the best and you often need secondary equipement such as a gamepad and apps for that.
Would be cool to see a big studio make a triple A game solely for the mobile (android, ios)market that isn’t a bad pc port or a disguised cash casino.
Keeping a watchful but reserved eye on Diablo immortal…
i mean if mobile games actually were good sure. But most of them are just moneygrabbing cheap ripp offs from other moneygrabbing mobile games. And thats just how the mobile gaming industry is right now. Microtransactions + copying games almost entirely.
If you want to play a game on the move or toilet, then a switch, psp, laptop or nintendo ds would be far better
i doubt diablo immortal will be much better, as it is catered to the asian market mostly. and the asian market has no problem with p2w games and microtransactions
Having played multiple mobile MMOs, here’s what I believe and it is true - WoW on mobile would be great to get your chores done - covenant stuff, the maw, wqs. Have full on autocombat, maybe forced WM off. No dungeons, no pvp - just the world content. Then when you’re on your PC you never have to farm, you never have to do chores, you just… play the game. It would be perfect.
Only if its secluded from the pc version and cant interact with eachother . It would give an unfair advantage compared to pc users. Same reason why it was good why the AH app got removed. People would use it to no life farm things and get an advantage over others.
There is no room for that with bots and multiboxxers already ruining the economy plenty. Especially if its made easier to do with auto combat, so they can basicly do it afk
‘They’? The ‘warcraft go’ thing was 100% the community either wishlisting or memeing. ‘They’ never disclosed anything about the upcoming mobile titles.
Plus, I am certain people on every rung of the Blizzard corporate ladder are perfectly aware how bad timing it would be to release, or even announce, a high-mobility AR game at this moment in time. If this meme was ever a project anyone seriously considered, it is most certainly shelved indefinetly.
