Just to test it out, I’ve installed WoW on my M1 MacBook running Ventura on an external SSD. Maybe it’s because of some old addons or the ssd not being fast enough (think it’s usb 3.1) but it’s running like @**.
It’s running though, lol
Edit: yeah it’s the SSD speed. Same symptoms as I used to have on my HDD in the desktop.
Totally agree, in another topic we discuss how expensive WOW actually is and after all the money you’ve paid to not be able to play it.

I’m running an older Mac late 2012 so I can’t update to the latest version OS
but I’ve never had a problem running the game until now

what is the update number i am still having the shiitty one and when i press update it just says it is up to date even tho it is not
i have updated it and i get in to connecting and it crashes back
You mean the small update from Friday? It made no difference to me.
For me here IS a difference. If you done the “full game reset” (aka remove the WTF folder), the game at least plays the introduction video. (which it didn’t does until yesterday).
But then it crashes again. So, it’s definitely a shift, unfortunately only small. I’m just afraid that the one lone developer that Blizzard has for macs won’t be working over the weekend…

Still got 10.0.5.47849 - still can’t get in. Absolutely ridiculous.
Just updated to 10.0.5.47871 on big sur.
Now i can see start screen backgroud and “connecting” button, and in few seconds game crashed again 
Clearing wtf, cache and interface doesn’t help. It just allows to see initial movie. €50 for a minute movie. Nice deal)
im getting the same error. it loads to connecting then goes back to desktop! doing my heading now, i havent even been able to see whats in the vault this week
