Same here. Late 2015 MacBook Pro. Upgrades from 10.5 to 12.0 Monterey and it doesn’t work. Tried also in windowed mode, no dice. Waiting patiently but also expecting a refund of some sort for lost time.

Strange how this could’ve gotten past PTR and devs, apparently it was reported to break the game on some Macs, but if devs don’t listen and force a patch out anyway why have a PTR?
in any case, still not working after the latest hotfix. Running Big Sur 11.5 and not really eager to update.
Tried -windowed as suggested on US forums but that didn’t do anything for me.

Also cancelled sub last night, I’ll resub when it’s fixed. Still have a month of playtime It’s a drop in the ocean of course but maybe it gets their attention if everyone unable to play does it.

Hi all, i’m looking for some advice. What are the chances of compensation for lost game time? I’ve played since around the end of Vanilla and aside from botched expansion launches and server outages, i’ve never really pursued compensation for lost time due to a genuine belief that somethings can’t be predicted or helped. The difference here however, is that I believe that it is highly unlikely this patch was made without first testing it on a MacOS that they purport is compatible with WoW (i.e. 10.0.something). So either a) they knew it didn’t work and went ahead or b) they genuinely didn’t test it. I’m not sure which is worse, but either way it’s unacceptable.

So to summarise: does anyone have experience in getting some form of compensation for lost time i.e. game time or money refunded? I would be interested to hear from you. Cheers.

I haven’t downloaded the patch but like everyone else here I can’t launch the game. It’s frustrating but what’s really pissing me off is the lack of response from Blizzard. Ive sent a load of messages to support and had zero response.

Have they still not fixed this?

Apparently not. As far as I can tell they are not interested. Ive had no response from support. I’m just fed up with it now. I want a refund.

Seems so, think I’ve had more time waiting to play than playing recently

Are Blizzard seriously suggesting that the game that I’ve paid for, the game that was working perfectly well on my system (Mac Big Sur 11) isn’t working because I have failed to update my OS?

This is pathetic. We need this game to work or you should compensate players for lost playing time.

Quite frankly I think I’d rather just have a refund for my annual subscription and I’ll never play another Blizzard game ever again after this.

This is appalling customer service.

Aha, another hotfix patch. Have they finally fixed it…?

No. Still can’t get in.

Spiffing

Blue dev post on US forum an hour ago:

I just wanted to say we’re working on a fix for the crash on launch issue on older macOS versions. We’re working on getting the fix out as fast as we can. I’ll update when I have more information.

So they were actually aware of the problem while it was still on PTR, and still they chose to push the new update?! Blizz, this is a new low!
