WQ (and more) gold rewards nerfed by 90%!

But why…

Guys, this happens every end of an expansion, you will generate more gold once questing at khaz’algar, it is not a big issue

except it’s not, they have never done it this early

It has never happened this early. It makes zero sense to nerf gold with two weeks left until TWW.

This is the TWW build tho.

Just farm profession and sell it?

I don’t get it. The open world content of the new expansion will get old quite fast if you do it on multiple characters regularly.

Don’t they like players playing their game in various ways? And keeping old content at least somewhat relevant? I am still putting in the time to complete the quests (and at least the races will continue to be as long as they were) so why grief the players so hard?

I guess shoehorning us all into the four zones and having us play their game a certain way is the goal here.

Not a word about the legacy content being buffed either.

Griefers. The players are not respected.

yeah try herbing, farm 2000000 herbs for 5 silver each and earn pocket change

blizzard has a pathological hatred of old content, once new expansion is out all old content is a dirty word to be avoided and hated

No, you have the ablilities from TWW, the reduced leveling XP costs from 1-70 from TWW, and teh balancing of TWW.

For ex. My DF talent trees looked different for the most part, and none of them had hero talents included. Nor was I able to skyride on any mount I choose, much less switch to steady flight without previously completing Dragonflight Pathfinder and using an non-Dragonriding capable mount.

Your misunderstanding and /or willful ignorance of the facts does not invalidate them.

Just buy tokens. The message has been quite clear for a while. And the rampant botting only benefits the token market so are they actually invested in clamping down on the bots? Hehe.

Its not like they can adjust numbers on the fly  2 weeks to go is a little early.

Yeah, this is for sure something that could just be hotfixed…

Having us be in some sort of weird ghostly limbo for two months sucks. Perfect time to do legacy content, but it was buffed to grief us. And now the nerfs to open world gold to grief us even more.

Whats the point of going up a full number if we are still in previous expansion ?

we are in TWW, because we are in 11.*. They just hasnt unlocked some of the content.

I guess the underlying problem is that in the past the transition from one expansion to the other was very sharp, and now it isn’t.

We used to have a prepatch with an event and systems changes, and then we’d fool around with that until the release day where everyone would transition to the new expansion.

Now we have the same prepatch with an event and systems changes, and then another prepatch with more changes, and then a release day for some players, followed by a later release date for the remaining players.

The build up is way longer now, there’s less to it in terms of gameplay, and the release day is so long away for some that undermining the existing expansion so early feels pretty bad.
And that’s before going into the fact that the expansion is time gated a lot more post-release than we’re used to as well, which also feels a bit annoying.

All in all it’s not an ideal expansion roll out from a player perspective.

The gold changes can easily be hotfixed in on the release day.

Nope, the goal is to “block” players who will not purchase The War Within and stay at level 70 from being able to amass gold at an equal or even faster rate in old content than what level 80 characters will do in Khaz’ Algar.

They just turned the switch on 2 weeks earlier than the “proper” time.

They could have achieved that with a 50% nerf though, why 90%? And the dragonriding races still take the same amount of time, why nerf those?

I don’t have an answer to that. Probably because the want to avoid someone being able to find an exploit and earning larger-than-intended amounts of gold even with 50% nerf.

The functional way of interpreting it by looking at functional labels like pre and their etymological(? Non English spellchecker) origins are a valid way of interpreting the world around you, its just not my way for reasons that simply are what they are.

Yes the original it was meant as tongue in cheek and people just went in with a stretched leg, which is fine, public forum and all, but I do interpret things that way, plain and simple
