All people talk about is LFD. The only people who like LFD are people who think ketchup is spicy, think GoT’s final season was good and Evoker mains. (Edit: And dwarf warlocks. because that’s a thing apparently)
We don’t care about their opinions.
What we should be discussing is how do we make Wrath hcs not braindead content.
Do we just straight up buff the stats of mobs and bosses?
Do we add more mechanics?
Do we add a new difficulty above hc?
Some combination?
I wanna hear your suggestions
Classic brain takes only of course.
Go play season of mastery if you want harder content to sink your teeth into.
Both Classic and TBCC have already had too many changes done to them, let’s not screw over Wrath more than it has to.
How about just release WOTLK as it was? and if you don’t like it go to retail or play something else?
There is no valid argument to not wanting WOTLK as it was, other than you have your own view on what the game should be. If they want to call it WOTLK remaster and do some ******* with it fine, I’ll accept that. But don’t call it an orange only for it to be an apple.
If you want harder dungeons, check mythic+ on retail. You may like the difficulty lvl of +20-25. And it’s a social activity, need to talk to people, sometimes even on voice chat, not like in easy and antisocial vanilla/tbc classic, when just in-game chat is sufficient - sometimes even a simple “hi, inv” and “thanks, bye” over the course of 45 minutes. You can also form a long-lasting groups of friends in m+ community. Besides, it does not teleport you anywhere, you’ve got to enjoy the ride to dungeon entrance with ocassional world pvp on the way.
I agree. I have played on Whitemane (fan server) and heroic dungeons were buffed, like you needed to use CC on trash mobs and many boss abilities just 1shot you so you had to pop cooldowns like in cataclysm. Stock dungeons are way too easy
As long as you tweak the rewards so that they’re appropriate to the newer level of difficulty, sure - otherwise ppl will just do Naxx/Ulduar/ToC/ICC10n instead. Or you can try to buff those too, and then ppl will just do the 10hc versions, or the 25n versions. Or you can just try to buff everything and watch people quit.
Heroics will be hard-ish if you do them in levelling greens. Otherwise they won’t, and it’s fine. They’re entry content. TBC heroics were fun in a sense, but I’m not sure I enjoyed wiping in OHF hc until the group disbands.
I believe this was a design decision in TBC to make heroics harder than Karazhan. initially Karazhan epics where worse than heroic epic, but players disliked raids giving out worse gear than 5-mans, so they buffed those items.
So in TBC the progression was supposed to be Normal Dung > Kara > Heroics > Tier 5
In Wrath they made this official with it being Normal Dung > Heroic > Naxx 10 > Naxx 25
They aren’t really easier than TBC dungeons, and they have more mechanics than TBC dungeons. Probably the only factor is that AOE threat is a thing, but with the way people played Paladins in TBC it was a thing there too.
I dunno where people get the idea that WOTLK dungeons are that much easier, the only hard dungeons in TBC are maybe Arcatraz and Blood Furnace, and nobody runs them more than they need to. WOTLK dungeons will eventually be easier when you outgear them, but I remember plenty of people wiping in Halls of Stone, Halls of Lightning, Strat while trying for mount and Occulus, by the time you outgear them they will be beyond relevance anyway, cleared in 10mins just like Heroic Ramparts with a decent geared group in P1.
TBC dungeons were hard on private servers due to being tuned up, on Classic the only hard stuff was doing the resist bosses without any resistances.
I would for sure agree that some tbc hcs were over tooned.
I don’t think i have ever tried the post nerf tbc hcs but i imagine that’s closer to the difficulty i would want for wrath hcs.
Normals are entry level content. hcs should be intermediate level content. It makes no sense to have 2 entry level difficulties.
You are probably the only person in the world with that take.
It’s like someone told me Apex legends is as much a movement shooter as Titanfall 2.
I have no words.
