I’m up for a WOTLK classic server too, but ultimately it will become stale and boring.
It’s over, they’ve announced Cataclysm and haven’t mentioned WotLK once since they said there were no plans for a WotLK Era server.
Hell, the only updates they’ve done to WotLK since then is screwing up pvp/pve settings in raids even more and adding a teleport to an event boss cause they couldn’t figure out how to add it to RDF.
WotLK is dead, long live the freedom from wow yet again.
It’s dead because they announced Cata progression and that was the last straw for classic players and they quit to Warmane. What’s hard to understand.

It already is when people had to win TWO bgs for the legendary quest. My god.
Never seen people be so mad over sucha tiny thing.
Was there with my Prot Warrior. Horde must had never understood what this PvE tank forgot in mines pushing that cart, but it was really hard to kill me, while I couldn’t kill anyone either.
+1 for a Wrath server.
I wouldn’t even mind a TBC one.

You and 10 other people (probably your family) will be on that server, the cost that blizzard needs to keep that server will be more than the people playing on it they said that when they made a survey on who wants to play wotlk classic and only 500 people sign up in 4 months.

Meanwhile, Classic Era has been running for years at absolutely no detriment to Blizzard.
It is a bit of a reach for you to assume Wrath Era would be drastically worse off than Classic Era was early on.
What in the hell are you on about?
Instanced virtual servers cost very little and most of the cost is the data transfers which means low pop servers are cheaper.

Got a question though… What would a server permanently on ICC really offer? Would it change the status quo from Ulduar/Early ToC (that’s when I stopped playing) where everyone was sitting in Dalaran waiting for the raid group to fill out and flying directly to the zone? Beelining on flying mount to the location and signing off for the week? Or if you’re unlucky/slower trying to scrape by and get to GS required to even be considered for the raids? Or getting into new Heroics because god forbid they’d take someone undergeared even if they weren’t that hard.
Because ultimately that’s what Wrath is. Unlike Classic there’s no real “Journey”. There’s only the end game. And I’m gonna assume that most that stayed already got everything they wanted. So what’s there waiting fo you in your full BiS wielding your Legendary etc. What’s really there for you to look for?

Straight up BS! I didn’t know Blizzard shares secret, private data or you got those facts out of your butt??? That 500 people is different thing, it was who signed up for petition, because it wasn’t recognized and no one wants to make a separate account to vote. I’m sure real numbers are at least 10K players maybe even more if you count all around the world something like 20-30K will play WotLK. Look at Warmane, their servers always full and numbers are close to 20-25K.

Let me borrow that.
Warmane has like 2-3k real players + around 5k bots to create the illusion that there are people + a fake pop number so they can milk people for money with the fake queue they have when you try to join a server.
It has been like that for a long time.
No wonder people call it Paymane

Is this really so much different in your mind than being logged out waiting for a raid to fill cause you don’t want to waste your world buffs?
WoW has always had this option, it’s just been super prevalent in all of classic.
It’s just about options and if there can be a vanilla Era surely that shouldn’t outright exclude the others, including TBC.

Arena in wotlk is the best in all of wows expansions, and alot of people want wotlk servers for that reason alone. Also there could be ICC hc speedrun competition etc if there is interest. But mainly arena

I didnt like it because it’s one of the most unbalanced expansions for PVP. PvP is way better in Cata and especially MOP.
